East Barnet Post Office

The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had! The women behind the counter (larger lady) was nothing but rude and disrespectful. I would advise going to a different post office.

As someone who also works with the public in my day to day job, I will try to be as objective as possible in this review.
Firstly while the location is convenient, the building itself is small so loses a star because of lack of counter space, space to queue up etc.

In the number of times I have used this post office however, I can see the people running it are hard working and punctual.
Do they do small talk? No. (I don't equate meaningless small talk with good customer service)
Can they be direct and loud? Yes
Are they difficult to understand? Yes sometimes. That's normal when interacting with people from all walks of life.

Also there seems to be a key theme from all the complaints in that they have "lost" a package.
What most people seem to forget when they've had a bad day is that if a courier sends you a message to say your package has arrived and you rush over expecting it to be there, it's a well known fact that third party couriers mis-time their communications so that's not the fault of the workers over the counter! You should indeed take that up with the courier, not the person over the counter.
Who is to say the package is not still in the van and hasn't yet arrived but is on it's way?
Many times I have experienced this!
I hope people as a whole try to remember that other human beings trying to earn a living also have feelings and dont appreciate nastily being accused of stealing packages without hard proof.
I for one would be sorry to see such a convenient service go because of a few moaners having a bad day.

This post office has the worst customer service ever. They bark and snap constantly. When I tried to withdraw cash the other day and was having trouble choosing the right debit card. The lady behind the counter rushed me and started serving other customers before I was finished. Due to being rushed, I used a credit card to withdraw money as I felt under pressure and wanted to get out ASAP. On top of that, the man and woman behind the till started speaking in their own language about me, but little did they know I understood every word. As a Barnet local my whole life, it was hard to avoid this post office due to convenience but it’s safe to say I will not be returning.

I started using this post office just before Covid. The staff appeared quiet and didn’t really engage but the more I visited, the friendlier they became and now I receive a friendly greeting whenever I go there. At the end of the day, I’m not their friend but familiarity now means we smile snd exchange brief pleasantries which is good enough for me.

The worst customer service I have ever experience. Extremely rude staff, lady was the rudest staff I have ever come across. They are damaging reputation of post office. Change the staff or close down this branch.

They deserve 0 * unfortunately not possible to give. The most rude staff ever. I wanted to return my amazon parcel she was so rude barking at me. The QR code wasn't working at first and she was so rude with me. After it finally worked she grabbed parcel from my hands so disgustingly slapped sticker on it and threw it aggressively to bag behind her. I was shocked. So annoying ppl won't be coming back here. Pots Office should reconsider working with this kind of people. They hate to be there and they hate to serve people , so close the shop then. As former convenience store owner I'm really shocked someone behave like this with customers. Such a shame.

I have neve been treated like this anywhere else in my entire life. I don't even feel like a human being after being served by the woman at East Barnet Post Office. I must be a blob of nothingness to her.
I went in there to pay some money in as my bank near by closed down. The issue occurred when the card didn't go through the machine. It could have been because it is a brand new card and it hasn't been used yet..
She took the money and went to serve another customer before she made sure she was finished with me.
When I pointed out that the card was declined she irritably walked towards my end and returned me my cash back.
I then had to guess she was finished with me, because without saying anything, she returned to serve other customers.
I then asked her what is happening? Are you finished with me?
She looked at me and told me that my card got declined and that's that.
I then said: I have to guess that that's it?Finished?
Are you going to communicate that with me and maybe ask me if I have another card?
At that point her husband was backing her up as I was the one to be a problem. I left there feeling dismissed and disturbed. I will never be going there ever again.
Who needs that?!
