Highgate Post Office

The staff do their absolute best in this post office. It is a tiny post office, but they work hard to serve sometimes extreemly long ques and very impatient gruff customers. It isn't their fault the space is small, and they are brilliant at keeping it all going and managing to get through all the customers. The owner does not work in the post office and he should spend a bit of money to make it better inside so that the staff who work so hard can manage more easily. The owner should also supply more staff to help at busy times to help look for parcels, this would free up the counter staff to concentrate on reducing the que.
Personally I think the staff are brilliant and cope very well with what must be an extreemly difficult job.

I have recieved several " we have something for you" cards over the past 12 months . Never once has my parcel been there .

Nothing has ever been returned to sender as they claim
Some of the items had tracking numbers which did confirm delivered there

This place is a nightmare. I’ve never seen more than one window open and the counter staff always look half asleep.
Modern technology with one person just scanning for drop offs would half the people queuing.
Standing in this establishment will age you 10 years.

I only experienced fast and polite service at this post office.

Too few and unfriendly staff. Poor opening times.

Mail (strangely only parcels) consistently gets “lost” or marked as delivered falsely. Expect to not receive at least one parcel a month.

My Royal Mail tracked parcel said it was delivered here but the woman behind the counter said it wasn't there then just sort of stared at me? I showed her the tracking and she said to "call". I asked who to call and she said "Royal Mail". I asked for the number. She said to google it. I did this only to find that RM customer services was closed for the weekend. Shoddy on the part of Royal Mail and terrible customer service at the post office - rude and unhelpful.

Worst Post Office I have ever been to. Staff are generally not in a good mood and rather unfriendly. There is always a queue (not only due to COVID restrictions) and the whole service is very slow. If I had another option to pick up my parcels I would choose to go somewhere else.
