I can't fault the staff behind the shop counter as they are always polite and say hello but as for the women behind the post office counters!? So rude! Don't greet you when you walk to the counter, no smiles and one lady decided to throw my package over her shoulder into a larger collection bag (granted it was a light package) but was that really necessary??) Customer service doesn't cost a lot...

This post office overcharges its customers. Paid 20p extra today for sending a large letter to the USA that should only cost £8.10. On another occasion an older mail employee didn't even know that she should send my letter as a large letter instead of a small parcel. After telling her she was wrong and that I've shipped the same content for years I then decided to show her evidence from Royal Mail's website via my phone that she was wrong in insisting she had "no other choice" because of "a new Royal Mail computer system". Upon showing her Royal Mail's correct prices and rules for sending a large letter up to 750 grams, she realised she was wrong, then just gave me some money back without saying a word - no apology. I cannot recommend this shop!

I would just like to leave a compliment as the lady working when we went was very fast and good her job. It’s always nice to go in somewhere and receive good customer service. They also have a label printing facility so we were able to return Amazon goods here as well

An insulting lack of regard for social distancing and COVID safe measures. Just now (literally right now) I was unable to get into the post office to return an item. Why? Because there were about 4 people in the front of the shop (by the entrance and convenience counter) and another 9 or so queuing for the postage counter (NO SOCIAL DISTANCING, EVEYONE CLOSE TOGETER AND SOME NOT EVEN WEARING MASKS)

isnt this violating the legal requirements? Disgraceful. This place has been failing for a long time. Come on, people are dying and businesses collapsing, have sense of responsibility for your customers.

- Social distancing ignored by staff.
- In returning home from post office, realised I had mislaid an item, but had no way of contacting staff in this moment of emergency, neither via phone nor email.
- Good service at counter.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Perhaps the most incompetent post office I've ever been to. The staff appear to be barely literate.

I sent my first parcel from here recorded delivery. I purchased a cardboard box and masking tape which Greyhound lane sold, the tape did not stick to the box and the woman at the counter was so intent on ushering me out the door as they were closing that I was quite sure that the poor materials would result in my package not arriving which of course it did not. She even promised to fix the box before I left.....

On my second visit I went to send two letters special delivery I was told :

- Recorded delivery would not guarantee my package would arrive so it would have to be special, this was 'the only way to guarantee your post would arrive' - how completely ridiculous, the post office themselves have no faith in a package arriving.....which conveniently is also the most expensive.
- On paying for special delivery the woman behind the counter took the post code down wrong which was written on the envelope handed to her, when I noted this with her she said 'having the correct post code didn't matter' !!!!! That they would look at the envelope and not the expensive QR code which was incorrect. Only after complaining did they update both the stickers and my receipt.

Completely unbelievable, while my other post office is much further away I will never be returning.

Avoid this branch as staff are rude and do not understand the customer requirements. They charge (£1.75) for the free services, such as 'free label printing service' using a QR code. This is unacceptable behaviour as Royal Mail have offered these services for free. Hence, conning the innocent customers by making them pay.

To make the matter worst, they charge for the free labels once the customer has placed the label on the parcel for using their paper and tape!! Stay away from this post office, otherwise be ready to receive military style dictator service!!

I have found the staff to be always helpful and they go the extra mile to offer advice which is beneficial for the customers. Once they took in a parcel even after the closing hour which was rather helpful. The front desk staff also help out whenever they can.
However, they really need to get back to their normal hours now, since we are all back at work and shorter hours do not help get our business done.
