Brook Street Post Office

Post Office never open when advertised (“back in 15 mins” sign on the door), then when I actually get inside any time it is supposed to be open - “can you wait 3 minutes”, I then wait for 10 minutes plus whilst she works on other tasks to finally get served. Service is absolutely appalling. I have even been served whilst the shopkeeper is on the phone on multiple occasions.

Be aware this franchise post office seems to open randomly with messages on the door of being back in 15 mins while being much longer. Nice couple that run it though, probably picking up the kids 😕

I attempted to pick-up a parcel I had delivered here. Unsuccessful after about 5 attempts, on different days, and at different times (both before and after work).

The advertised opening times (6 am - 5:30 pm) are a complete lie. With no indication as to why it is closed, during the "normal" opening period.

I ended up getting a refund, after buying the item elsewhere. Avoid using this post office at all costs!

I went in this morning to buy stamps, said "good morning" to the lady behind the counter only to be blanked! Once she realised I was there and got off her laptop I asked her for stamps,got my stamps and said "thank you" blanked again! Not great! Won't give them my business again, MANNERS cost nothing. A big 👎

Frequently closed during "opening" hours, usually with a crowd of grumbling locals outside wondering how long they'll need to wait.
Such a shame. The couple who run the Post Office are a pleasant, helpful family couple, but it's a public service, after all.

Be open for the opening hours, please. We need to know you are there for us, especially the elderly locals who can't keep returning repeatedly during the day.

I have never known a post office like it never opens on time. I work in a shop and i have to close up to bank and waiting 30mins for it to open is a joke.

Went to this Post Office twice today, first at approx 1 o'clock and found it closed with sign saying would open at 3pm today. Then went back at 3.30 to find a sigh stating opening 10am TOMORROW. What a waste of my day & time off work. They really should be open more reliably as they are the closest Post Office for a lot of people! Shocking!

Awful post office. First time I went, I attempted to post a parcel with them. The lady behind the counter just took my parcel and threw it in a post bag and said "thank you". After looking at me blankly for a few seconds, I had to explain that I will first need to pay for postage. The lady didn't understand me after a few attempts to explain so I ended up asking for the parcel back and then took it to a different post office where it was dealt with properly.

My second attempt at using this post office ended the way many reviewers has...the place wasn't even open during listed 'opening hours'.

There isn't going to be a third attempt.
