Ignore the negative reviews! This post office is really good. I’ve been going here for years. The customer service is excellent. They have self service machines and someone there to help you to use them. They manage to keep an eye on how many customers are there and react appropriately.

Only 1 member of staff on the kiosks and a queue of approx. 8 people in front of me. Not only that, but the cashier on shift today must have taken something like 10 minutes to serve 1 customer! In the end, I decided to leave because I was concerned that if I waited in the queue, I would have received a parking fine for returning to my car late. I managed to find another post office where I didn't have such a long wait. If people think this is great customer service then you have very low expectations!

Just reading through the reviews, some dating back years ago, wondering when someone who cares and has the authority to do something will actually CHANGE what is going on at this post office. To think that our taxes pay for the 'service'.

I went in to this post office as I have done before, at around 5pm. Naturally I wanted to ensure that I made the post office time as I didn't want to have to return home with my items. Upon arrival I noticed a make shift notice banner out of cardboard that had been put up, which also looked like it was a barrier to entry to, I didn't read it in all honesty.

I was standing in queue and noticed there only being one person, (who I later found out is Steve) on duty. He had to pop out to help someone at self service and the queue was left to stand and wait for this. As I looked to my right there was an unmanned tall tower of parcels to my right.

Steve looked exhausted to be honest, when he came out to help the lady at self service, he said, he will have to close early, the post man is coming to collect and he's only doing postal for two people at the front of the queue who were waiting longest. I was at the end of the queue and just asked him if I could stay as my post is very quick, he kindly agreed to see me. I got the sense that Steve is and was trying his best, but looked tired and fed up. He said that also he has no training to help with some of the queries that come in outside of postal, so this limits the service he can provide.

So, as a result of things like this happening, the customer service is poor.

Wouldn't recommend this post office at all, it's literally a needs must for locals to go to.

Busiest time of the year. One window open at the counter and one self checkout machine open. Queue out the shop. Ignore the published opening hours, they open and close whenever they feel like it.

Called in today to send a tracked letter. Unfortunately the parcels were being picked up by ? driver - fragile parcels at the bottom and rest piled on - suitcase baggage handlers at Gatwick are more careful than this man!!!

Terrible post office,a franchise I suspect as looks family run, lack of staff and not likely to employ any more any time soon, long slow queues and shut for an hour for lunch between 1 & 2 due to,yes, staff shortages.

Awful experience. I would not waste time going there especially when you work full time and need to post parcels. Terrible customer service and they are constantly closing earlier than advertised time. I am not sure any of the staff want to be there.

Don’t bother going here. Useless staff who are unable to do anything as they have ran out of everything. They don’t decide to tell you this until you have wasted half hour waiting in the queue. How can a post office not have labels to send parcels?! Ridiculous
