Langdale Post Office

Why do you have your opening hours online as 8pm when you're constantly shut at 17:30!!!! Ridiculous!!! It says staff shortages but I saw 3 of you behind the counter at lunch time so you can't be that short on staff!!

I phoned to ask if my parcels could have proof of postage because my son had forgotten to ask for it ,the lady at the post office was very helpful and said she would do that for me .very pleased with the service

Says 8pm close online yet when you go in there is a notice saying it will close at 5:30pm from 29 September. Least you could’ve done is updated the page on here, then I wouldn’t have had my parcel delivered to you in the first place. What person working a typical 9-5 job can pick up a parcel when you cut down the hours all the time? Ridiculous.

Telephoned this branch to ask a question telephone rang for ages until timed out! Rang again telephone was picked up but nobody answered. I could hear talking in the background so I know someone was there. I kept trying to attract attention by shouting down the phone still nobody answered so I hung up and tried again but of course line was busy. what a disgusting way to treat the public. Not acceptable.

Took ages. Only one person working when clearly they should have more on.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. It's in Tesco Express so handy location too. I live the other side of Dunstable but make a point of going there!

Edit: Reduced from 4 stars to 2. This post office has just got busier and doesn't have the capacity. I have gone there twice today to find queues outside the door and once no parking nearby. Don't bother with this place.

This post office is in the Tesco Express. The time of your visit will affect your experience here.
If you visit at lunchtime, around 12-1PM, you will experience queues out of the shop and be waiting a while.
At the time of writing, they have a lunch break from 13.30 - 14.30. This doesn't mean you can join the queue up until 13.30 - you will be asked to leave if you start queueing close to this time.
I personally go later in the afternoon, around 16.00. The postman comes around 17.00 so getting there and done before then will be better for sending post quicker.
I have seen 2 staff working here before at once but mostly, it is just one person when I have visited.

Parking here is a pain. Quite often you will need to go around the block a couple times. There are double yellow lines and a bus stop nearby that you can't park at. There is also a church car park which isn't for people to use for the shops.
There is a car park round the back but I'm not sure if you are meant to use this.
There is at least one disabled bay outside.

A postbox is located outside if you don't need to go into the post office.
