I was actually quite fond of this post office, there were a few ladies there always made me smile. They were professional and nice. But my last visit sort of changed my opinion. One particular man, he was so unprofessional and nasty. Not to me so much, but to other customers. For the service I received, I would say that was inconsistent, unnecessarily unpleasant and unprofessional. The man seemed unhappy with life!!! Otherwise why would someone go out of their way to be nasty to his customers??!!! Hope he finds peace and happiness.

I love this post office. I would happily pull up a chair and spend a while chatting and joining in with the banter if I had the time. The staff know their locals who obviously love coming in and have a great laugh. Personally, I really like the fact that this place has some personality!

I am appalled at how cruel some people are on here when talking about the guy who has Vitiligo. I regularly use them to send work documents off as my company is just around the corner. I've never witnessed him or the other lady shout or be rude to customers. If people have a complaint, be factual and polite. No need to be nasty about the guys condition.

The service they have provided me has always been efficient and quick. Thanks guys and sorry you have to read such nasty messages.

Staff are incompetent and the owner is very rude and abrupt. I will be making a formal complaint to the post office customer care as they charged me for a next day guaranteed delivery by 9:00am, when the Royal Mail have stated that there will be delays. Royal Mail will not compensate for this as the post staff shouldn't have charged for this service when they knew that there were postal strike the very next day. PLEASE keep clear and use a different branch.

The service today was incredibly nice and helpful :3 I was totally lost and didn't know at all how excactly sending a package in England works, but luckily they helped me out. And that I have nothing understood every word and wasn't really good at speaking English, has also forgiven me quite sweet x3
Thanks for that!

Abusive behaviour: I would never visit this post office. Extremely rude behaviour. Specially when you refused to take next day special delivery. Morgan was rude with me and Manager was supporting her because I refused to take next day delivery. Its so frustrating to see this type of customer service. Manager needs customer service training in order make customer happy and pleasant visit.

By far the worst post office I have been to in East London, All Thanks to the Asian man working for them. He will always have a comment to make on your parcel and how you have done something wrong in every parcel you send but instead of saying what's wrong, he will say 'don't come to me if Royal Mail sends you a penalty fine'.

Another thing he keeps repeating, parcel has to be exact accurate weight in grams to the T otherwise you get a fine.

On this specific date, 31st October 2022 at approximately 08.35am, I went in to send a parcel, he made a comment how Royal Mail will send me a fine because my parcel is not exactly accurate in weight. I've asked him, do Royal Mail give you an option to put exact accurate weight, he replied 'Yes they do' so then I kindly asked him to show me where it gives you an option thinking I'm missing something on the Royal Mail website, he in a rude tone of voice replied 'I don't have the energy for this'.

Correct me someome if I'm wrong? Does Royal Mail even give you an option to put the exact weight? Or do they give you estimate weight for example upto 250g, 500g etc which is what I always seem to see when sending a parcel.

I've never experienced this with any post office I have been to, and I have been to several over my time in sending parcels, also ParcelShops like Yodel and Evri sending a parcel has always been smooth, which I think I will stick to going forward.

Thanks for taking the time to read my experience I've had with this particular post office on Philipot Street.

The people who work here are absolutely lovely, unfortunately they don't have much space to receive parcels. As such, they had to decline my Amazon order which subsequently went "missing". Luckily I got my money back, but there's one Amazon delivery driver who got an extra Christmas present...
