Post box - Royal Mail (Chorleywood Bottom)

The Royal Mail post pillar box in Chorleywood at the T-junction of Hubbards Road with Chorleywood Bottom road. It's ideally placed for the local pedestrians but not so good for passing motorists. It's surrounded by double yellow lines except for a few spaces opposite it on Hubbards Road. I've identified the box as Chorleywood Bottom, not Hubbards Road (where it's actually sited), because Google refused to recognise the name Hubbards!

What can I say, this post box has helped me out of a few tricky fixes in my time. Once I leaned on it to do some stretches during a run. And another time I posted something. Every post box, in my opinion, is a triumph of humanity’s ability to cooperate and a dolmen of progress and hope. This one looks especially good in the snow.
