Horninglow Post Office

The post office isn't open until 1pm as per website. At 12:34 exactly I was told by the post office worker who was still there that I won't be served (sending prepaid parcel) because 'it's closed now'. It was not first time when the incorrect info is online and different arrangements are being decided and announced on door (e.g. closed for a month or like today: open until 12:30). In general: useless.

Went to post returned item, was asked what item is. ( Car Injector ) was told can not accept as could be fuel related smell issue by Royal Mail. Yet explained I have recived this item by the Royal aswel. also its not contaminated with any fuel because of wrong part recived. Had to go to other post office they checked and agreed to post no troubles.

This post office is so unhelpful. As a business user using click and drop, I was turned away with a bag of post, paperwork and two parcels which they would not take because they were not in a bag, and then refused to let me have a bag telling me to get form Royal Mail! Other post offices simply accept the parcels and paperwork , I informed him I had to pick up my son and no time to go to another post office and asked for a bag, which circulate through Royal Mail and refused to help me. Left feeling stressed and upset. I felt compelled to leave a review as this is not the first time they have been unhelpful. With the previous post office Manger the service was excellent and we used them every day, now I have to go further to get a fantastic service at a post office elsewhere, who are always helpful. I simply went to this one as I was already running late, and couldn't believe how unhelpful they were yet again.

Absolutely terrible service. I'm a local business owner who relies heavily on the post office for my transactions. I'm lucky if there's anyone there half the time. When you ask the chemist staff if it's worth waiting they don't know. They don't even know if the post master is on site!!!! I've just banked, am standing here writing this review. The lady who served me was on the phone as I approached the window. Laughing on the phone. Quite clearly a PERSONAL CALL. No apology or excused herself, just continued conversation. Served me whilst phone still to ear!!! As I've written this 3 other customers have entered and she's done the same. Still on the phone as I leave. If I could give zero stars I would!!!! #bringbackivor customer service was fantastic when he was post master!!!! There's some serious lessons to be learnt about customer service.........

Indian women who serve me at post office during the COVID-19 always overcharge my letters, small letter should cost 1.63, but she always saying its a large letter and charge 3.66. Even my letter is less than 20 g and fits exactly for small letter she even not trying to do her best. Unhelpful. Not recommend!

Went to post a parcel earlier this morning. Not busy when I went in. I was literally next in line. Gave up after waiting about 20-25 minutes!! Lady behind the desk had no urgency whatsoever. Left a big cue outside when I left. AWFUL SERVICE!!!

Turned up at 12.50 to buy some stamps and was asked to leave and come back after 1.30 because "they don't have time to serve me before they close" - apparently they close at 1 every day.
It doesn't take ten minutes to sell some stamps.
They just wanted to get on their lunch break early. I wasted my own lunch break going down there.
Completely useless.

Every time I go to this post office, I am being told the counter is closed!!!! They are either on their lunch break or when it's not lunch break they close early coz not feeling well... At least change the bloody working hours on the Internet to include the lunch break!! A while ago used to be a rude Asian woman, now is a British one that almost everytime I go there says the counter is closed. I'm giving up 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
