I don't often write reviews, but after my experience in here yesterday, I felt compelled to do so! I have never been met with such a rude old man anywhere in a customer service role. He is clearly the Postmaster and his attitude stinks - he was so obnoxious and downright rude to me when I asked a perfectly reasonable question. I found him most unhelpful and will NEVER set foot in there again ... I would rather drive an extra 5 miles than give them my business!!

Previous one star reviews are entirely accurate! Arrogant, rude and incredibly patronising staff. Stopped a young boy in his tracks who served us and told him I thought he was being incredibly rude. He then passed the parcel back and suggested we leave! His mother, who also works there, then decided to intervene (completely unprofessional as well) and reiterated that we were free to leave. Made a formal complaint to Royal Mail head office. My advice would be to travel further and avoid this post office at all costs!

I agree with these bad reviews. How are these people allowed to be so rude? I got a lecture from the older man & was virtually interrogated on why I had printed my own label. I'm only referring to the 2 older staff. Others are fine. I dont go here anymore but take my business to other helpful post offices. Terrible attitudes & dire customer service.

Could not quite believe what an inconvenience I was bringing parcels to a post office. Yes I print my own labels but I did not need a tirade from the women behind the counter telling me they earn nothing because I have done so. Err excuse me what about postmaster/mistress salaries. Had there not been other people in the shop then perhaps I would not have left being the better person.....

RUDE old woman behind the counter, with all the grace of a person getting a prostrate exam from a doctor that hasn't cut their fingernails, complaining that she doesn't make any money if we print our own labels and it's not worth her precious time to deal with us. We had numerous packages, when confronted that she in fact DOES make money she said "not on the small packages!", she also said that in future we will have to wait for them to be processed if we want to get proof of postage if there are other [profitable] customers waiting. Rude, lies to customers about profits and confrontational, we will not be using them again and I assume the 5 stars reviewers are friends of the people running the post office as they name them personally. Message to the woman... You are in a customer service role... that has the word SERVICE in the title, you should not be dealing with the public if you're that bitter!!! How about retiring and moving to Bournemouth,... or keep going until you get to France, far away from Borrowash!........

Old women behind the counter today absolutely rude cause I said have you got any sellotape for my label and she said I suppose you want me to do this then!! She needs to learn her customer service skills a bit better and speak to people politely I was so shocked how she spoke to me

Never had a problem, I have been popping in probably once a month for 20 odd years. If you smile at people they normally smile back. In my experience people are in a rush and sometimes things don't go your way so you blame others.

Hit and miss service - sometimes you get a nice interaction or even normal neutral as you would expect anywhere and sadly other times you get rude and dismissive behaviour. This is typically experienced from the older serving man and woman and never the younger ones there that i have seen on the weekend in my experience. To my knowledge the older man who serves is the owner of the post office.
