Burton Leonard Post Office

Lisa delivered hot food, drinks & snacks over to Mill View Barns in Bishop Monkton where we (group of 6 cyclists) were staying overnight while cycling the Way of the Roses. Brilliant service - I phoned about a week ahead to place the order, and got some great suggestions from Lisa. Everything was there waiting for us, including hot food in slow cooker, on arrival. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend.

We have a cottage in Burton Leonard and are so lucky to have such a great shop and post office. When we’re up I look forward to the sweet chilli chicken sandwich that is always a treat! Makes the 4 hour journey up even more worth it! Wish we had such a lovely shop in our village at home!

Recently moved to the area. Found this local gem of place for some supplies and was absolutely delighted by the ‘above and beyond’ supplies they have here. I walked away with gourmet meals and locally produced gins and treats.

It’s not a post office - it’s a delicatessen and a one-stop shop for great local produce. Also amazing staff. After my first visit I went back one week later and was immediately recognised and picked up the chat where we left off. I was treated like a local straight away. That simply doesn’t happen these days.

This is the kind of shop I remember from my childhood. I will be buying as many of my supplies from here as I can on principle now. Online deliveries can supply my humdrum stuff. I’ll be pulling in here on my way home from work for my freshly baked bread, dairy, locally-sourced meat and meals...and a nice chat while I’m there.

Just the best place to shop for meat, fish, groceries, bread plus gifts, cards alcohol and food to take away. Great Post Office service. I leave an order every week and just collect, so shopping is easy. Lisa and all her staff are just so lovely and helpful. Burton Leonard is so lucky to have such a fantastic store.

Burton Leonard Village Store is fantastic. Lisa and the team are lovely; the take away food for lunch or breakfast is hugely tempting (the chilli Pork Pie is to die for); there’s always something nice in the fridge for tea; and there’s a great selection of cards and gifts too. Whether you’re looking for essentials or a treat you’ll have to a go a long way to find somewhere better. Highly recommended.

Wonderful staff and a great range of grocery in store ranging from freshly made sandwiches, coffee, dry goods, wine, fresh fruit & veg, delicious breaks, cakes, cards and more! Everything you could wish for in a village shop. So convenient to have a post office in the village.

Fabulous post office service, very helpful and knowledge they will go out of their way to help you either with a letter or parcel.
You can even get some shopping from a well stocked village shop and a tasty well filled sandwich from the large range of choices available, freshly made to order and not pre packed, and a lovely selection of cakes to finish it off with, gem of a place to discover would highly recommend a visit to here.
