Advised they do not accept Royal Mail pre-paid parcels as they do not get paid for them. Contacted Royal Mail and was advised they cannot refuse pre-paid parcels, so my service was refused due to pure laziness. Also gave me a fake name when I advised I will be making a complaint to Royal Mail. Quite frankly a bizarre service from bored grumpy Indian owners.

Out of all the Post Offices in the Canton area of Cardiff, this one is by far the worst for service.
The Post Office itself is fine...as are the staff - bar one!
Unfortunately, the old man who works there made my visit an arduous one!
He kept telling me to bring my mail into the PO instead of using the postbox. It felt like he was almost trying to accuse my of something untoward?? I explained I don't always have the time during the day, but he was quite insistent.
In the end I walked out!
Make your own mind up.
This was my experience on all three visits there.
I now only use the PO closer to Canton or Grangetown PO.

Rude. Ironically there seems to be a pattern with this guy offering zero customer service as less than a month ago another customer experienced the same absurd request that you buy a whole roll of tape as they can’t offer a strip as part of the service. I accepted and offered to leave the tape behind for future customers to enjoy the fruits to which he said “no they will get used to us offering it” what’s wrong with that? I used the tape to then discover they don’t take card and I had no cash, due to their poor business model of not offering tape and then not taking card it resulted in me offering to go back when I was passing with the £2. My partner went in today to post a package and was met with vile behaviour and accusations about the £2 she owed (it was in fact me) I would walk 2000 miles to post a letter rather then step foot in this circus of a post office again! Local service down the pan!!!

I walked up to Victoria Road as Canton Post Office wouldn't open for another 1/2 hour. Staff there tried to be helpful by suggesting I reopen the package and spread out the contents when they would quite fit through the allowed large envelope gauge. But when I asked if they has a piece of sellotape to seal the envelope back up, they said I had to buy a whole roll. It made me laugh at the time as it was her idea in the first place! Total lack of customer service.

I went back home to sort the envelope out myself, then went to Canton Post Office instead. There I witnessed staff provide an elderly gentleman not only with an envelope but tape also, to help him send his passport off.

Not one of the staff were wearing masks or social distancing from customers - felt very uncomfortable in there. Clicked at me to put my parcel on weighing scales. Always a rude service there.
