Church Village Post Office

Not much to get from here other than postal services and related items (envelopes, parcel tape, a few cards) but it's usually quiet and the service is quick.

Not to be confused with the P.O in Tonteg.
Church Village post office are dreadful. The man working there is plain RUDE. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I turned up to post something at 3.53pm, they weren’t supposed to close until 4pm. There were another 2 customers behind me. The rude man working there refused to let us in, stating that he was closing. I showed him the time on my mobile through the glass. He shook his head and walked off.
Being the only post office open within walking distance for many in the area, this was unacceptable. It’s only hoped that he was closing early to attend customer service training!
I will never take my business there again!

Worst customer service I've ever had!! The man behind the counter is rude and abrupt. Instead of trying to help you with an issue he talks over you and doesn't try to help you at all. I left there and had to return and when I did he looked at me while serving someone else and said 'oh God', someone else outside actually explained to me what I needed to do so I could send my parcel. Avoid this place or wait until someone else is working.

I have found the female staff to be helpful, the older guy not so much. Usually not too long of a wait and things get sent and received without issue. I much prefer this branch to the Tonteg one, I find the staff in there a bit rude.

Dont answer the phone. Often 'lose' mail. I had a customers goods turn up a month late because it was just sat in this branch for weeks on end. Seriously, buy yourself a printer and use a different company.

Horrible staff. Muttering comments and making disparaging faces at other customers throughout the transaction. As well as over charging postage and mishandling parcels in front of me.

Completely astonished at the behaviour.

Staff work long hours and often under pressure, always give a commendable service. 48 years of great service to me and the community. There was a momentary blip when a relief post master ( rude chap ) was there, to no fault of regular staff and owner.

I have never had a bad experience in the post office, Jan is the nicest person you could ever meet. I always use this post office
