Coworth Flexlands Prep School and Nursery

A wonderful nursery section. Lovely light nursery rooms with access straight to an outside area. Set in beautiful grounds where children can see older school children. Excellent staff and a superb environment for getting children ready for school. My daughter loves it!

Absolutely amazing school. Moved our daughter here mid academic year, and couldn't be happier with our decision. The communication from the teachers is excellent. The girls show a real sense of pride of being students here.

We moved our daughter to Coworth Flexland part way through Year 4 and we have no regrets. She settled in immediately and absolutely loves her school. Her confidence and academic ability have grown considerably, and she really looks forward to going to school. Coworth offers a very nurturing environment in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Our daughter joined Coworth Flexlands in year 3 and we have been delighted with the school over the last two years. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother transition into a school in a new area. It has far exceeded our expectations.

We have found the school and the teachers to be extremely nurturing, encouraging our daughter to take part in many extra curricular activities whilst keeping a close eye on her academic progress.

Our daughter has blossomed in the school environment and she has become a very confident and happy girl. She has made some wonderful friends and adores all of the teachers. Her progress in all subjects continues to be impressive.

We could not be more thrilled with the nursery for our son. We saw lots of others before we discovered it and the main pluses of Coworth Flexlands School Nursery for us are:
1. The nursery teachers are the only I’ve met who I felt I could trust implicitly. Very experienced, genuinely caring and fun, and really good role models.
2. Outdoor space is wonderful and used as much as possible (and an amazing huge outdoor sandpit).
3. Their model of learning through play. This was a big factor for us. I work in education and wanted somewhere that specialised in play-based learning but - despite all the research showing how important it is - I was surprised by how difficult it is to find in a nursery. Coworth get the balance perfectly and have a particularly good approach to phonics.
4. Really clean and pleasant environment.
5. Great selection of toys.
6. Surprised how nice it is being part of a wider school community. We were made to feel so welcome and nursery parents are invited to school events and socials etc.

Coworth-Flexlands is a lovely, small, nurturing school that really gives children the opportunity to thrive. The small class sizes mean children get lots of individual attention from the teacher and enable the teachers to adapt teaching to the needs every member of the class. The special needs provision is, in my experience, excellent and my child has really benefitted from the additional support he has received. Sadly he will leave at the end of the year because it's girls only from Y3. My eldest was also at Coworth from Y3-6. And made excellent academic progress during her time at Coworth. She emerged happy and confident and ready for the next stage in her education. All the staff I have encountered have been absolutely wonderful. I also found the home learning provision during lockdown to be excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the school!

We knew the minute we arrived at Coworth Flexlands Prep School, that this was the right school for our family. Our daughter loves everything about the school. The staff and teachers are amazing, the classrooms and grounds are exceptional and the activities and extra care is fantastic. She loves the outdoor classroom with forest time and the support system they have with older buddies. We feel so lucky to have found such a great school!

I have two daughters at the school, I couldn't wish for a better nursery and prep school for them both. We were convinced that it was the best place for our girls from the moment we looked round the school. The school children are genuinely happy, articulate, bright and enthusiastic about their wonderful school. They sold it to us!

Despite having two girls with very different personalities, the school has managed to tease the very best from both of them academically and socially. They have been stretched when needed and nurtured when they've had unsteady moments. The school continues to teach creatively with a good level of emphasis on STEM subjects as well as traditional creative arts. My girls have flourished and continue to do so in this happy and unique school.
