I should’ve known I was dealing with a bunch of cowboys when I opened the MML Property Website to find absolutely nothing useful they do as a business on their homepage, merely a massive spiel on how likely the are to keep your deposit, and charge extra without warning.
I had the misfortune of staying at an MML managed property in July 2021. After a thoroughly uncomfortable stay, the day after departure MML informed us it will be retaining £75 from our deposit for two extremely spurious damage claims. When we challenged these the Management Company representative was rude and aggressive. We offered to to pay for a carpet clean (a drink was spilt accidentally on vacating wheeling out a suitcase) but to charge £50 for ‘damaging a wall’ (???!) and ‘leaving stains’ on a cheap plastic bedside table which was already stained was utterly ridiculous. This is nothing more than blatant profiteering from the MML Property Services and we have now complained to the Ombudsman about our treatment.
