Burgess Road Library

Friendly staff, updated stock of books, fiction, non fiction and science. Amazed to see fantastic books on evolution. Plenty of Media, movies and kids films availability. On the top of that, a section dedicated for children toys to be borrowed for home.
Children books need be properly sort but i guess children keep messing the sorting as well so we can't blame the staff.

I find myself using the library quite regularly now. It's a fantastic community asset and the staff a really friendly. I'd definitely recommend making use of Burgess road library part of your weekly routine!

Found it frustrating to go in to and have one volunteer do nothing but sigh out loud the whole time i was there. were once i was greeted with warm ladys and a smile when u went in and helpfull dont get me wrong im glad it still open but girls please at least show you enjoy diong it and make the reader feel welcomed

The library is connected with the other Southampton libraries which makes it easy to get book, even if they are not available in Burgess Road. After signing up I just reserve books I want to read online so I can get what I want without having to search for it. Some books I really want to read are sadly not available but I'm still happy with the selection! It is definitely a good tool to reduce the amount of money spent on books.

The staff who used to work there were absolutely fantastic and I would go there quite frequently. But now that has changed. The staff do there job but they don't seem to care to much and has driven me to avoid going there. Ok if you are just there to get a book but not anything else.

My favorite place in Southampton

Great space for families with a welcoming childrens' area. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of community events on site.

Amazing library with great volunteers. The whole family love coming here to choose and return books.
