Highgate Library

A lovely, graceful tree-surrounded library in the centre of Highgate, used by all and sundry. A BELOVED feature of the neighbourhood. A gentle atmosphere, offering tranquillity, a place of safety. A place for learning, relaxation and acceptance. With a large, semi-wild garden, secluded and safe for little book learners to run around in.
This historic building is a treasure for us all. WE MUST PROTECT IT.

This is my local library and I cherish it. The amount of new books coming in every week is amazing. It has recently been under threat of closure - I'd fight to keep the facilities here open. Wonderful staff and building especially the children's section. Use it or lose it.

Beautiful, sunny, purpose-built library with a great selection of books. Lovely place to go to get inspiration for reading. This library is one of the few community buildings in the area and an absolute treasure.

Generally very good but they somehow allow for loud parents and crying children in without letting them know it needs to be quiet in a library.

I've been using Highgate Library in Shepherds Hill N6 for most of my.life - and I'm over 80. It's purpose built as a library. Excellent helpful staff. It does useful community things for children but for adults too. Unfortunately too often Haringey have tried to close it down and local people need to be alert to stop this. George Stern
