NCP Car Park Kingston St James Road

Terrible car park. The parking machines refused to work with any payment card I used. Only one machine in the car park would take notes. No staff on-site available to help and the system to contact the remote call centre was nearly useless, I could hardly hear them and they could only hear me when I shouted into the machine. The payment machine equipment in this car park needs bringing up to date.

Parkopedia says it is night rate of £4 after 1700. Wrong. It is cheap after 1800. This is great for visiting The Hippodrome which is just 50m from the car park.
Only 1 out of 3 pay machines working so long queue to pay on leaving the event.
No attendant. Tight bays and ceiling obstacles above some on level 1 (I banged my head!)

My preferred choice for parking around Kingston. Cheap fare, easy to use ParkPass card, decently wide bays for parking and ramps.

We are now in the third lock down and NCP decide to put the price up from £1.30.to £1.70 for one hours parking. How on earth can they justify that.

£5 to park all day or 12hrs. I don't know about the issues with design as my Sportage gets around ok.

BUT IT IS FENCED OFF WITH A GATE AROUND IT AS OF THE 24TH AND I HAD TO PARK AT THE ROSE CAR PARK FOR £12.50!!!!!!!!!

I rarely leave reviews, but this one deserves it. This is the worst designed car park I have ever seen. Unnecessarily tight turns to get around and terrible lighting, it could be 10am or 10pm, who knows?

Would not recommend, go elsewhere unless you want to sweat buckets going down this tight winding car park.

Rated as ZERO. Seems you have to give it 1 star to post anything. PAYMENT BY MOBILE Phone ONLY . As my battery was flat & I found out when I reached the 8th floor was not impressed. Leaky stairs & some floors flooded with undrained water. Looking slum-like. Go to another car park where you can at least pay by cash or debit card. Only tried this as my usual taken over for covid jabs. STAY AWAY [ May 2021 ]

Seems like a secure car park. Located next to the Unilever building, adjacent to Kingston Hall Road (opposite the college)
Parking their is expensive though. Like all NCP parks
