Having rented with them for 3 years, they were often slow to react to issues raised, and slow to understand them (sometimes even simple matters took quite a bit of explaining). They charge for everything they can (often unreasonable amounts), littered my inbox with emails about how great they are (amounting to no more than spam). Staff turnover is high, with all the negative implications that has for tenants.

Not the worst agency I have worked with, but I was very happy to eventually stop dealing with them.

Having just read the review from James I must say that I have had the opposite experience with Strawberry, I have been in a property for 12 months and always found them quick to react , and any issues quickly addressed. They arrange promptly for tradesmen to call at a time when asked.

They also did a very good job when they sold my previous property.

Worst letting agent experience iv ever had!
Decided to relocate due to a lovely house coming up,went and viewed and paid the deposit on 27/03,now i had to chase everyday for paperwork ,was reasured everything was fine and to hand my notice in on my current property and relocate my childrens school.i waited over a week for paperwork,there contracts state that its 24hours from when you pay deposit,not 10/11days. Again was reasured everythings fine and move in on the 28th of this month. After several calls and some delightfully rude agent telling me to just be patient everytime i rang,they finally did there checks, which had a clerical error on and caused my application to be cancelled. Apparently any clerical errors cannot be amended once submitted and no return of fees is possible. Well seeing as the precontract i signed was void anyway due to the 24hour disclosure not being adeard to by themselves,they refused to give me my fees back. Due to their lack of compitance i am now homeless at the end of april with 2 children and allmost £400 worse off with nowhere to go.

Not only do they make you fill out intrusive application forms to just request a viewing of a property, then fail to reply or even acknowledge the enquiry, they also lie about monthly price of available rentals on their Rightmove pages. This leaves the clear impression that to them - like most estate agents - customer service or basic courtesy is far less important than browsing Facebook or filing their nails. What do Strawberry Lettings think they will achieve by listing a ‘PCM’ price, then admitting in the small print that it is for the first month only, other than annoying potential customers? Obviously useless and arrogant, may their business crash and burn.

Very disappointing. Although they put the blame on the landlord, every problem we reported it would take forever to be sorted. We still have a broken window that will not open or close after reporting it several times over the last 12 monthsf. After three years renting a property the landlord is now selling, however they are charging us a £90 exit fee to leave (even though it is they who are making us leave). We went to the council to get on the council list and without even asking our permission Strawberry Lettings have charged £42 for a reference and taken it out of our deposit. Many other issues with them over the three years. We are also expecting them to try and rip us off further over our deposit when we do leave in three weeks.

We rented a property managed by Strawberry and had great service from them for the past 18 months. They have been quick to respond to any questions or issues. The young lady that does the inspections is professional and super friendly. Thank you for a wonderful 18 months. x

Rude, passive aggressive customer service over email. Made to feel like I was wasting their time for asking questions. Any email requiring a reply seemed like too much trouble. There was often bad spelling and grammar in a lot of emails as well which didn't invoke much confidence in their professionalism.

Very glad that my landlady was so lovely and able to help me if I needed, as I feel that Strawberry doesn't care about tenants at all.

I rented with Strawberry (now apparently Berkley) for 2 years. Their service was appalling continuously and their manner was often rude and as if even basic requests were too much hassle. I resorted to emailing them instead of phoning as I wanted a paper trail to confirm when things had been reported etc as they insinuated that I had lied about reporting problems!
I would not recommend them!
