I have been in touch with all different estate agents at this point, but I have had the best experience with Wards Estate agents in Canterbury, for purchasing a property. Kate has gone above and beyond to help myself and my partner through this process. She has been so helpful with everything and has made the first time buying process a lot less stressful! She was always bubbly and happy which was also lovely to hear. Lovely people and always happy to help with everything they can.

I found dealing with Wards very easy. Communication was great and James in particular was a great help. Was there ahead of our appointment time waiting for me. He had in depth knowledge of the property. Although that property was not the one for me, James has been very proactive in coming to me with similar properties and keeping me up to date with the current market conditions. Happy to deal with him, and Wards, anytime.

We bought our first home with Wards and they were brilliant! We have just sold our first home with Wards and again we could not have found a better Estate Agent! Special thank you to Tom Dodd who got us an amazing deal well over the asking price. What a great example for all professionals in this line of work. We have recommended Wards of Canterbury time again to friends and family and they have benefitted too from the friendly, helpful, and reliable service you can expect at Wards. Re Katie Funnell agent at Canterbury Wards.
I wanted to convey my experience of working with Katie who has been agent for my parents who are relocating from Hampshire. They are both elderly and I am acting on their behalf.
Katie's skills include the following:
-Excellent communicator, she responds quickly to queries and questions and is very clear in her communication.
-Sensitivity, she has gauged beautifully the needs of my elderly mother who she has spoken with on the phone and has met in person.
-Flexibility, Katie has responded swiftly to requests for viewing with little notice and limited time parameters being offered as my parents are coming from a distance she has ensured that this is taken into account.
-Understanding, Katie has been responsive to my request that communication come through me as I hold LPA but she has measured this with direct communications with my mother so that she has not felt excluded.
-Lovely, Katie is in my experience a very lovely person with an open and kind nature and must be a huge asset to any professional team.

A big thank you and shout out to Kate Funnell and Jydon Reeves, we viewed a property in May which we lost in the end and when it came back on the market - Kate remembered and phoned us straight away to tell us, and got us back in for another viewing. With her help and relationship with the seller, enabled us to buy our perfect bungalow to make our forever home. Thank you Kate and team at Wards Canterbury _ also well done from Jydon @ Wards Herne Bay who sorted out our house sale - never gave up - and that it all lined up. We are part way through the process of paperwork in our sale. Could not be happier so far. A buyer was found immediately for the property by the talented Kate at the Canterbury branch. Fingers crossed everything completes as easily as the sale.

Originally this was a 5 star review, but regrettably we have chosen to revise this based on events following the sale.

Our sale was initially dealt with smoothly and promptly, and communication was good on the whole. We sold our property to an investor who intended to let it out, also through Wards in Canterbury. Following our sale, we discovered that Wards had reused our photos and marketing without our permission to let our previous property out. The photos included all of our furniture and belongings, which we were fine with in regards to selling but the new owners were renting unfurnished using material that we had commissioned at our cost. This was taken down fairly swiftly but to date no one has given us an explanation as to how this happened, so after several months we have decided to post this publicly to ensure that this does not happen again in the future.

I would strongly recommend this be investigated, and would advise any potential clientele to keep an eye out in case their marketing is reused without permission.

Kate has been fantastic the whole way through the process to sell our property. From the very beginning, the service from both Kate and the wider team, was nothing but professional. We were extremely happy with the amount of contact, high quality marketing and personal customer engagement we received. I wouldn't think twice about buying or selling with Wards in the future.
