This company may do very well for residential sales as reflected by their past record (if the reviews aren't made up), but I would not use them to rent a property from if I had a choice.

The agent(s) were very communicative with us right up to the point where we paid them the advance fee (420£ mind you, not exactly the cheapest around). We thought we were in luck as they had good reviews and seemed very positive with us. After we paid the advance, the replies started to take longer and longer and the sense of us being valued as a customer gradually disappeared to nothing.

Unfortunately we had to withdraw from the tenancy during the referral process due to personal circumstances and notified the agency about this immediately, informing them of our situation and asking politely if there would be any chance of a refund since the contract hadn't actually been drawn up yet nor the property taken off the market. To this email and the follow-up we sent to it we received NO REPLY whatsoever. To this day, we received no acknowledgement of any sort or any sort of "thank you for choosing to work with us, sorry you couldn't go through with the contract,etc", nothing. This I found extremely disrespectful. I wouldn't have cared if they replied to say we couldn't have a refund, as this was stipulated as non-refundable in the terms. But not having at least the courtesy to send a damn email reply, that is very disrespectful and very poor business practice.

In some way we are glad this happened as I imagine we would have had many more unpleasant circumstances had we actually gone through and rented from them if what we saw was any indication of their general business philosophy.

I hope you will take this to heart and revise your attitude with other customer, but somehow looking at the general state of the rental agency business, I doubt you will.

So back in late December 2016, I asked Robert Dodd at Windsor and Rose estate agents to sell my flat for me. Dan came around the next day and took some stunning photos showcasing my pretty 2 bedroom apartment. He was friendly and professional. It was clear from the start that he knew his stuff and was experienced. After a brief consultation, he assured me he knew of a few people on his books who were "serious" buyers and would contact them. A long story short....I had an offer on my apartment with 32 hours of my images going live on their website. The first viewer offered the full asking price!!

Absolutely awful service! Doesn't reply to emails, I've called several times and only reach a voicemail, can't leave a message because the mailbox is full. They took ONE YEAR to install new carpets into a managed property that had been flooded. It took them so long the insurance company closed the claim because they weren't getting any response from Windsor and Rose. I'm having to change managing agent on my property because I just can't get hold of these people. My tenants are also unhappy with how long it takes them to do anything.

Robert Dodd provided an excellent service: he gave an accurate market appraisal, used his contacts to quickly generate viewings, achieved the full asking price and steered the sale effectively through some difficult times. I would highly recommend this firm.
