My Husband and I are savvy buyers and have been diligently searching for a new home (a place we can call home) in Streatham. As this is a location we know and love. I first put my house on the market in Streatham just after Brexit. Originally I went with one of the big hitters on the High Street and followed their advice with regard to the price and presentation of the property. Viewings were slow and three agents and nine months later, I was thoroughly confused as to why my house hadn’t attracted more viewings. I was approached by Val and Ray with a view to selling my property, and gave them a pretty hard grilling as to what they would do differently, not expecting to hear anything other than what I’d heard from the previous three agents. They talked me through tidying up areas that needed to improve its initial presentation which the other agents had told me didn’t need to be addressed, better photography and boosting its on line presence through Facebook as well as the property portals. Their fees were reasonable and they didn’t baulk at giving me straightforward, honest feedback from viewings. Within two months my house was under offer.
