Miles and Barr have been fantastic helping us manage a rental property in Dover. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always at the end of the phone to offer support and advice. Amazing

We were renting a property through Miles and Barr and handed our notice in to say we would be moving out due to buying our own home. The property then got put up for sale. The lettings team and selling team seem to not communicate with each other at all! We were receiving phone calls weeks after we had moved out asking if they could be given access for viewings. I had the same conversation with people over and over again telling them the same information that they had apparently made note of. Whilst looking for our own home as well its a nightmare even trying to get hold of anyone. We would be promised phone calls back constantly and then would be left with no choice but to call again and they would deny all knowledge of us awaiting call backs. Our new home ended up being through another branch as well and they also did not communicate. We would often get feedback begs back from staff saying they wanted 5 star reviews because they were in competition with their colleagues. What planet are these people on. We will never use Miles and Barr ourselves if and when we decide to move.

Miles & Barr were very quick to respond to any queries we had which made the buying process simple and pain-free.
Our sales progressor Emily Stickler was in contact with us at least once a week, helping to keep us up-to-date on every step whilst buying our new house.

Courtney made our experience a 11/10! We had some really difficult times with our solicitors and Courtney made sure to do her bit to the very best. She always went above and beyond to make sure we were guided through every step. She also chased everyone to make sure we were always getting the best! We would 100% recommend working with Courtney, and Miles and Barr. Thank you for everything!

Kate Dargan based in the Folkestone branch has been our lettings manager on a long term basis. Our current home has an 'interesting' owner. Kate has gone above and beyond throughout. Great communication. She's nailed the balance on how to be a good estate agent.
Approachable and genuine, works hard with a smile but is firm and fair when needed.

We had two very different sides of our experience with Miles & Barr. First, when viewing properties, it was clear that we were in a sellers market and that the agents were well aware. Viewings were only ever offered on one or two open days, followed by best and final offers a day or two later, which felt designed to put pressure on buyers to make offers without much time to think and to offer over asking price (we were contacted several times regarding properties we'd viewed which had gone back onto the market after the initial sale fell through, which feels like a direct result of this approach). It also felt like some of the the agents knew that they would in all likelihood get an offer after just a few hours of viewings, so didn't need to put in a lot of effort and didn't know the answers to some pretty basic questions.

However, after having our offer accepted, it was like dealing with an entirely different company. Emily was fantastic throughout the whole process, contacting us on a regular basis, always being on hand to answer questions and chasing up information and updates from all sides of the sale when necessary. She helped make the whole process a lot less stressful and was a pleasure to deal with.

Estate agents don’t show up for viewings on time, we’ve had to show people around ourselves. Pretty sure they’re sending us false viewing messages and cancelling them on the day, wasting our time and energy. Called several times to speak to management and had no response.

Emily was our point of contact. She rang me on a regular basis to keep me updated and was very clear with everything we needed to know. She was fantastic and as a result of her service, will definitely use Miles & Barr again and would recommend them to others.
