Bidmead Cook

We recently sold our house with Bidmead and were really impressed with how they took care of us during the selling process. They were always in contact with us and kept us informed every step of the way, securing an asking price offer on our property. Fantastic service from the Abergavenny branch (thanks so much Kate and Tybie!). We're so happy in our new home.

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience when buying our first home thanks to the friendly service from Tybie and colleagues in both the Abergavenny and Crickhowell offices of Bidmead Cook. The whole process from our first viewing through the completion of the sale was a breeze, with support from the office staff regularly checking on the progress of the exchange of contracts, moving information, keys, etc. Such a pleasure to work with lovely people.

After looking for a home in Abergavenny for well over a year, and seeing multiple houses with the staff from Bidmead and cook, we finally found the right fit.

I can not put into words how good the staff at Bidmead are, every question answered and my need to see the property many times in the process, they were always accommodating.

This estate agent openly made racist remarks about a previous viewer who was putting an offer on the house we were looking at. Appalling.
We also viewed several properties with them and were told “very popular, lots of offers already in” about properties that then stayed on the market for ages.
Avoid at all costs. They belong back in the 90s

From the initial valuation with Kate, where a buyer was found before the house even went on the market, to viewing the house that's now mine with Tybie, not to mention all the support up until completion, the whole experience was so professional and personable at all times.
I've got no doubt that the chain only held up thanks to the team constantly keeping all parties and solicitors on the front foot and I highly recommend them to anyone considering buying or selling in the Abergavenny area. Their prices were very reasonable, and the professional photos were outstanding, making them really stand out on Rightmove.
Quite simply, no other agency is as fun or easy to deal with, especially when you're a worrier like me, and the team's local knowledge, warmth and enthusiasm and kindness makes what could be a stressful experience something pleasurable - the perfect tone to set for a forever home.
