After PAYING my first month's rent I got an email a week later saying that I haven’t paid and that they’ll be charging my guarantor if the bill doesn’t get paid.
First of all I was paying a large amount where Wi-Fi was supposed to be included and in 9 months time they never secured it. All they kept saying is that the landlord has already taken care of everything and that the Wi-Fi guy just keeps canceling. Really he keeps canceling for 9 months??
Second thing is the horrible communication. They rarely respond to my emails. Sometimes I have to email them 10+ times on three different emails just so I could get an answer after a week or sometimes they just never get back to you. They will email you when it is convenient for them. When it’s you who has a question or a complaint then I guess they just can’t be bothered. Because I had an issue that I was emailing them about, I had sent more than 7 emails and I had to written them for at least 6 days in a row and they just kept ignoring that but at the same time they had the nerve to email me and ask something from me while they decided to just ignore my questions.
Third thing is my security deposit. These people have no idea in what kind of state they rent their property because right now they want to charge me for things I haven’t even touched, for things that were there before. Because the room honestly was not in a good shape and now they’re blaming me for it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m an international student and they feel like they can just cash in on me or what but yeah the whole experience has been disappointing and horrible. And I would never ever recommend to this agency to anyone.
Awful company, I let a property with the Basingstoke branch. They received fraudulent emails attempting to update my bank account details. They acted on these without contacting me to verify and sent the rent to the fraudulent account. When asked about this the director stated it was normal to update bank details without checking and 'what do you want us to do call everyone after an update? They then suggested that I had created the fraudulent account. Needless to say I'm cancelling my contract with them.
Would highly recommend.
