We have not moved for 35years, but due to health issues we completed on a bungalow last week. Quealy's were the agents for our vendor & the staff there, especially Rebecca have been incredibly supportive throughout 8 months of extreme stress. Given that we were not even their clients, they have gone above & beyond, easily exceeding our own agents. Well done!

I recently purchased a local property marketed by Queally & Co. They helped and guided me when it was needed for which I am very grateful. Sue in particular was outstanding with her assistance. I would recommend them to anyone considering using their services without hesitation.

Unfortunately it was not a good experience to rent from Quealys. In the past, I bought my first flat from them and that was relatively stress free however renting is a different story. They inspect every 3 months, having never rented before I was unsure if that was standard but on speaking to other tenants that is a lot.
Maintenance-wise they sent the same plumbers round to the unreliable boiler several times to bodge the job. There was a leak once which went downstairs, it was declared unsafe another time and there was difficulty when wanting hot water and heating at the same time. Twice my 2 young children and I were left without hot water and heating during the winter (though they did bring round an oil heater). This all happened in the space of 20 months!
But my biggest grievance is the process of trying to get my deposit back which has gone on almost a month. I was a very careful tenant, not even putting a nail a wall to hang a picture on. However on check out I have had to let them keep parts of my deposit for filling on the wall (definitely not me) money towards carpet cleaning when I know they are replacing them all and I was advised by their cleaner not to have them cleaned as they needed replacing and because some weeds were growing inbetween some decrepit paving slabs in the back garden. Along with smaller amounts for the fridge/freezer etc which I just let go. I tried to fight some of it & some money was discounted but in the end I have had to accept over a hundred pounds of deductions as the process was dragging on for weeks and became exhausting.
They do not treat their tenants the same as those buying houses from them and in these times particularly, I find that very disappointing. I would never use them again for renting or buying/selling.

Cannot recommend Quealy & Co enough! They’ve been professional, organised and friendly from start to finish on the sale of our property. Special mention to Michael, Lyndon & Ben who all helped get it over the line.

Dee Quealy runs the best property sales and letting agency I have ever encountered. Honest, professional, fair and straightforward are not words you normally associate with estate agents however in my experience of nearly twenty years of their service, they are worthy of such praise. Additionally I have always found all of Quealy’s staff to be polite, efficient and very helpful. I genuinely recommend Quealys and my only regret is that they do not have a branch where I now live!

TERRIBLE!!

Please avoid.
Thankfully only did 6 months. We had a water leak from upstairs and had to cut power all weekend due to no emergency contact number from quealy and had to wait for a Email Monday for them to only say to basically ask upstairs if they have any problems after a day of back and forth emails which took until the Tuesday for someone to come out and look at the problem.
Was also told from neighbours that the previous TWO tenants only did 6 months there too because of bad mould problems.
There was a awful smell in all of the kitchen cupboards and later found out it was mould as it ruined everything in there I.e food packets pots and pans.
Again after a day of emails I requested the landlord to come and inspect,
All he told me was that he couldn’t smell anything and that the previous tenants had a cat and it might be the smell from that???

The week we was moving there was scaffolding out side our only entrance/exit and we were never informed about this and quealy did not know a thing about it.. dirt concrete and broken glass we had to step around for a week.

They are all for you when your interested in moving in but when your there they couldn’t care less about you.

All the bad reviews I’ve seen seems like everyone gets the same answer,

Trust me we contacted them about all the problems and didn’t get any help!!

Acting on behalf of my father, I have been in regular contact with Quealy & Co. with regards to letting out a property he owns for a few years now, and I can honestly say they are a wonderful estate agent to deal with. We have had dealings with other agencies outside of Sittingbourne and none of them come close to how friendly, reliable, efficient and knowledgeable the staff at Quealys are. I really can't fault them in any way and highly recommend them!

We didn’t have the best experience renting off quealy and co. We were there for around 20months and if we had a problem the first response was can you fix it yourself or certain things they just wasn’t interested in. But the worst experience was when we were ending the tenancy they tried to deduct money from our deposit for stupid little things for example there was a few weeds growing in the back garden which you couldn’t see in any pictures. They also tried to deduct £60 for oven cleaning but on further inspection of the reason why it was due to a try left in the oven which had grease backed on by the previous tenant. A new try is about £20 so trying to charge £60 is ridiculous. We ended up settling for £30 due to the fact they had already carried out the cleaning even before the issue was settled and it just dragged on for no reason. Overall I don’t think they have any motivation to help tenants or try to sort issues that people have regarding getting deposits back.
