I having just undergone both selling and buying negotiations/arrangements through Chancellor’s in Witney, and despite current difficulties in the housing market in general, Chancellor’s (and in particular, Kirsty who’s been an absolute star throughout) completed both my sale and purchase with complete success. Their guidance, help and overall commitment from beginning to end has been exemplary and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I had had a few bad experiences with other estate agents and was feeling a bit down about the process but Olivia at Chancellors genuinely seemed to care about helping me and in helping me find a place that was right for me. She was very professional and knowledgeable both about the properties themselves and the local area and was able to provide me with practical and helpful advice, which was really appreciated considering I was new to the area. Olivia was also extremely kind, friendly and helpful in all her interactions and I was very grateful for not only her help but her kindness and desire to want to help me. From my experience, I would highly recommend Olivia and her colleagues at Chancellors.

I’ve worked for a letting agency in the past so I can understand how difficult and busy this job can be. However, the day of a property being listed for let, I called up and booked a viewing on Saturday. I was told I could not view the property until Wednesday which is fine. There are two properties on the street and I stated that it is the 3 bedroom property for £xxx pound. No confirmation email, the lady did not read back my email I provided to double check she had noted it correctly. No phone call to confirm I was still attending my viewing today either. Upon calling them myself to confirm the booking I was told by Olivia that the viewing was still taking place as she believes (reassuring…) and quoted the address. I knew this was not the correct address and informed her. She told me the property I was talking about was already under offer and taken off the market. If so then the online listing should state this and I should have been given the opportunity to view the property as I called up on the day of listing. There was no apology nor any attempt made to check if my contact details are correct from Olivia when I stated I had not received any emails. Upon then re-asking about the property they had booked me to view, Olivia then stated that there is actually nothing in the calendar for me to view today even though she stated at the beginning of the call that there was. The call was then awkwardly left silent. This agency took no care to provide quality customer service and I recommend anyone who deals with this agency in the future to take your own initiative to triple check with them any details.

Chancellors in Witney have been outstanding. I have been dealing on behalf of my Mum and they could not have done more. Great communication, friendly and approachable and 100% would be my first choice of agent in Witney
