AVOID AVOID AVOID. Want your rent but wont do any up keep to the house. Had damp and mould around the house. Was told to treat the problem myself. TV aerial not worked since moving in, again was told to replace the aerial myself. Rubbish and tree branches left all ove the front garden. Again was told to remove myself. The landlord has responsibilities for the property but will not accept what is wrong with the property. The slightest issue you have if you cannot pay on the day. You will be hounded with calls, texts and emails. I've had genuine reasons and agreed to pay what I owe. Even when an agreement is made they still harass you. Never had so much hassle to rent a property in peace. Only giving personal experience and wanting to highlight my personal issues.

Now moved out thank god and they send me a bill for over £2000 for work they stated needed to be done. I've asked fir a copy if the invoice and its a company that roof top lettings and landlord direct own. It seems they like charging ridiculous charges and this reflects in many reviews. So in a nut shell charge you astranomical charges for work they carry out themselves. I am seeking legal advice. Companies like this are going out of their way to make as much money from you as they possibly can. My advice stay well clear of these two companies. Rent from a more reputable company

I realise that Google reviews are mostly from people who are dissatisfied with a business, so can be unrepresentative, but this is an exception. For your own sanity, please avoid these people at all costs.

Our house had damp for about 4-5 months in which I was living there. As Landlords Direct do not have a contact phone number (and it's difficult even to find an appropriate email address to contact), I followed their instructions and informed them of this very early on. They took 4 months, right before I was to move out anyway, to address this.

On top of that, when I was due to move out, they said they would waive the rest of the month's rent as they had found a replacement tenant. I foolishly took them at their word, left and didn't pay anything more. Since then, they've been hounding me with emails and threatening me with a CCJ for money that we agreed I wouldn't need to pay. That's disregarding the fact that they already broke the tenancy agreement (and the law) by not making reasonable repairs to the house.

I've told them to leave me alone and attempt to use a modicum of common sense. I doubt they'll pay any attention, but then I'll just have to take them to court. Still have the timestamped photos and records of contacting them.

Spend an extra week or two looking for somewhere better. You won't regret it.

Do not rent from this agency. Spend a little more and use a different letting agency. Do not care about anything apart from taking your rent. Accommodation that bad, I’ve moved out and still paying rent for 5 months

Absolute joke of a company. Fix nothing that breaks. Turn up and let themselves in whenever they feel like it. Ignore all forms of communication unless it's about paying rent. And like to steal the grants given to struggling tenants. Unapproachable. Unprofessional. Unlawful. How this company still exists is beyond me but please people be warned.. **********AVOID**********

Bullies and rip off merchants. My daughter just moved out and this was a nightmare from day 1. £150 per week for a flat that's no more than 20ft x 8ft. Hot tap had no pressure and this was reported with proof more than 5 times. WIFI did not work at all and again reported with proof. Dryer machine stopped working 2 months onto a 6 month tenancy this was reported more than 5 times again with proof. Nothing was ever done about this which puts the landlord and the letting agent in breach of there own contract. Threatening emails from landlords direct regarding unpaid rent about CCJ which if they had any idea about law would not stand up in court due to them giving the guarantor no notice of this debt. After all the threats we now have a repair bill of £500 for damage on an internal bathroom door and worktop that's no more than 3ft in length. This also cannot he proven that it was done whilst my daughter was there as there photo the agency had taken is all blurry coincidently.

A very unprofessional agency and very low communication from this agency. They asking for £150 a week what i didn't complain, But what is frustrating I've been living in the property for around 4 months and been forced to move out before to finish my contract with them because the walls of the building are very thin and if you need to work from home it's very hard and hard to sleep and very hard to rest after a busy day. Some neighbours are really laud and strangers and if you try to speak with them or explain them you working and you need to rest they will make you more problems, hitting the walls or slamming the doors, hard party's and many other things plus the building or some flats they have a problem with drains and strange sounds you can hear from walls and laud, you can hear during the day time or night time, the fire alarm of the building it was beeping all must every day in the night time or day time for some reason showing an error. Explain all this thinks to agency and expected maybe some of them will be done but nothing happened and decided to move out from that place, but the main problem it's starting now, trying to contact the agency and explain i will move out because it's impossible to live there explain all the situation and telling my they will call my back latter on to sort all the things, they have been passed few day's and nothing from them, I've been chasing them and text them but not bothered to answer to my message or calls. I've been calling them from different numbers just to can get in touch with them, because they start to don't answer to my phone calls or messages and now after a week and a bit after i move out from that place and today I've been in touch with other person from this agency, explaining again everything what's happened there, explaining to him why i left the flat and telling him I've been keep chasing the agency and tell them i will move out if they don't sort out this things out and after all this things I've explained to this person from agency he daring to ask my to pay the rent for last week and not being in the flat plus they don't want to pay my deposit back.... The most horrible and terrible costumer service, not even a sorry from them or something after all things what happened. Avoid them

These scammers are the worse landlords you can ever imagine!! My room got flooded over a week a go due to someone leaving a tap on upstairs and I am currently still in that room as they cant find temporary accommodation, there is mould on the walls wires hanging from ceiling aswel as a gaping hole. I was in hospital while all this happened and am still very poorly and being treated like it's all my fault, they offered me a room yesterday long as I pay rent up front which is a joke as I've had to live in this room for a week with full rent not being able to get in touch as they dont reply to emails, environmental health is involved as this as brought me depression and making me more poorly. STAY AWAY

Apart from having no property listing on their website, no phone number listed and their inability to respond to emails, they seem fine. And I'm not an existing customer with a leaky drain, I'm someone who was looking to rent from them!
