Homerent Letting Services

These people refused to take perfectly good references which i have been told are more than sufficient , the staff are rude and very unhelpful , the property manager is a terrible person to speak to really quite condescending and doesn't help that he is completely unwilling to work with new tenants i cant even give these people half a star! I am utterly discussed i just hope they don't treat all there customers like this.

I have recently moved to Cardigan and the team at Homerent, Dave and Sharon could not have made finding a wonderful home easier. The whole experience was very personal which is a rare experience in the property letting business. I have now been at my new home for 16 days and the after service whatever it is regarding maintenance has been promptly no hassle dealt with. I can't praise them highly enough.

Despite some of the negative feedback we had seen online, and heard from people about Homerent letting services – We were very keen on a property they had listed, so we decided that we would do our best, and persevere through anything that might have been thrown our way.

The viewing went okay, we were shown around the property very briefly and allowed five minutes alone to discuss among ourselves and look at what we wanted to. The only negatives were about how the damp would be “painted over” before someone were to move in.

We got together our references which we have been told should be more than sufficient and forwarded them to Homerent. Each time we were required to provide a little more information, so we complied and kept adding to the pile. Around two weeks after forwarding the first set of references and still not getting anywhere, we decided to phone – Which resulted in a rude conversation and being hung up on mid-sentence.

A couple of days later and after no more contact we were finally emailed by the property manager telling us that our references were “Week” and that we would not be going ahead with the property rental.

We provided a total of six references, one of which was from a local authority with which I am employed on a permanent contract.
It’s taken two and half weeks of waiting with very little contact, for them to let us know that. All the while we were staying hopeful, only to be treated without any courtesy or kindness in the end.

The only silver lining for this property rental company is their office staff, which when left alone with matters that don’t involve the property manager seem to be efficient and helpful at their jobs.

I dread to think how people that rent properties from this company might be treated during their tenancy but I, for one am glad that I don’t get the opportunity to find out.

Staff are rude and unhelpful

We've rented two properties from homerent and really cant understand the bad reviews. We've had an excellent service and any problems have been dealt with straight away, would definitely recommend
