I used Filip at Red Mastering for both the mixing and mastering of my latest batch of tracks and I am very happy with the results. In my case Filip delivered my 6 tracks in 5 days. The Compression was ear-pleasing, still the mix was really hot and loud, The Eq was lush, The stereo field was enhanced, some mix flaws disappeared with the mastering; Filip intuitively understood what I expected from his process. I will definitely work again with this guy.

After struggling to find an audio mastering engineer for months, I took the leap of faith and entrusted Filip with mastering my EP. With so many people pretending online to be audio mastering engineers, it creates a lot of doubt but I can assure you, Filip is real, genuine and know what he is talking about; he is a true professional and a top tier audio mastering engineer and music producer. We worked with Filip on mastering a new James Bond album ‘Bond Reimagined’. Originally I was looking at Abbey Road’s online mastering but after reading the Red Mastering reviews on Google I thought we should give Red a go - and I’m glad we did! I prefer face to face communication but Filip’s email communication was always very clear and concise from the outset. We did a few mix reviews to iron out issues before the mastering (James Bond songs are not straightforward!) and Filip identified problems that we didn’t even realise were there. He also gave very good advice that helped improve the mixes. After we got the mixes right we booked the mastering session and provided some reference material. I have a very high standard, and even after this first master the sound was 99% where I wanted it. We described the minor issues which Filip resolved quickly and the masters are now pretty much perfect! You can hear the result yourself when ‘Bond Reimagined’ is released, but until then please do not hesitate to try Red Mastering out. It’s not easy to find a great mastering engineer who can give you exactly what you want to a very high standard, but we found that in Filip and plan to work with him in the future too. UPDATE April 22: Updating my review to give feedback on Filip’s new AMP consultation sessions. Instead of emailing back and forth after several mix reviews, we connected over Zoom for one hour and went through the elements of the mix (Blue Monday Club mix). This allowed Filip to point out problem areas and more importantly suggest numerous solutions to resolve them (such as bass and kick frequency clashes). The great thing is I could also share my screen and show him what I’m doing in Logic with EQ and synth settings, and this allowed him to see how I’m working and make suggestions too. I found this invaluable because not only do we need a second pairs of ears for the mix review, but the ability to see how Filip is working and vice versa, plus visually seeing the problem areas and suggested solutions, saved time and allowed us to resolve them much more quickly. This streamlined one to one approach means I can work faster and not lose creativity due to delays sending emails back and forth. I highly recommend trying out an AMP session at least once so you can see how it compares to the mix reviews - like me you may find it more valuable both to your productions and technical knowledge.
