Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton

Great hotel, great service, often quite busy.

This is a large hotel with some lovely views over the cricket pitch. Location wise, there can be heavy traffic locally, whether using the motorway or local routes around and to Southampton.

Generally clean and tidy.

One of the best Hilton's. Great view and area to walk around, clean and modern inside. Fantastic food offerings in beefys restaurant

Just note hedge end is a few miles away from Central Southampton, and you don't have much near you within walking distance

Stayed here for one night before joining a cruise. We had a balcony room overlooking the cricket ground which was fantastic, the only downside being that there was no match being played 🙄 but tbf probably would have been more difficult to book this room had there been a match on! 😁 We were only there for one night but I can't fault the service we got from friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is well situated and makes a good base for days out.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff were all polite friendly and understanding, not one of them made you feel uncomfortable or awkward! Not one of them made you feel bad for asking for something or for help … the spa it’s selfs and there staff is absolutely amazing the beefys restaurant and there staff are absolutely amazing and the hotel in general with there receptionists and house keeping we’re just amazing! This is my our new favourite place in the world now and I’ve been abroad many different times for all inclusive holidays with sun beach and everything else… this place was just great…. Felt so comfortable and relaxed and happy and I don’t know what they have in there water systems but your skin feels constantly so soft and amazing whether you at the spa in it.. or at the hotel drinking it washing in it showering I’m it… you just constantly feel soft and smooth with amazing skin! Perfect all round!

It’s a 5 star Hilton hotel, most of them are quite good. This one does not disappoint.

The rooms are very big, clean and relatively modern.

The breakfast is veeeery complete. A bit more than your typical continental breakfasts.

The restaurant for dinner is very good and good price. If I had to say something is the lack of vegan plates as a standard, but I am sure they would manage something for you if you asked.

An overnight stay for NYE, we had a voucher to use so upgraded to a suite and the room was huge, with a separate living space. My one grumble, although this applies to a lot of hotels, the room was so dark that getting ready was really difficult. I don't really want to do make up etc in the bathroom after having a shower as the room is hot, but the rest of the room was too dark to see.

Bed was very comfy, the view of the cricket ground was incredible, and the breakfast was also brilliant with so much choice.

Booked a one night stay & cruise parking package. Excellent room with Queen size bed which was the most comfortable bed I've slept in. No rolling towards the centre as the mattress was firm enough to support me. Brilliant view over the bowl with your own balcony. Hotel staff had told us there would be Christmas parties going on that weekend & the only noise we did hear at 2 in the morning was people coming back to their rooms clearly having had a good time! All hotel room doors never suppress corridor noise very well but it was minor in comparison to fab bed.
We had a lovely dinner & I was surprised at the quality of the food, really good. Service also good & friendly. Decor & standard of hotel is good & I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
