Expensive and underwhelming. No peas for the carvery, the turkey was bland, gammon was way way too salty. The pudding was good but the cheesecake came on a plate that was smothered with chocolate so you couldn't touch the plate. Everything was on computer other than what puddings or ice cream they had. When we booked it sounded like you would have to fight to get anywhere near. 6 customers they had, while we were there they took 2 more bookings. They also took bookings while we were eating and both times staff told them that there might be a table they could squeeze them on.

We went for my mums 60th so there was quite a big group of us. But wow was the service amazing! All the food came
Out fast (home cooked)! And the hospitality was fantastic! If u go definitely try the landlords lasagna!!! Then again everything that came out looked amazing. Next time I’m trying the pie. Super dog friendly to and children such a great atmosphere. Landlady came over to check and was so nice. My mums birthday was amazing because the staff at this pub made it so. Definitely will be returning as need to try that pie!

Went to the carvery and it was the best I've had. Great size portions and all veg was fresh, not a sad bit of looking cauliflower (other veg is available) in sight. Everyone cleared their plates, and although completely full we all managed to squeeze in desserts too. Dog friendly meant our pooch wasn't left behind. Only downside was I didn't take photos. The sundaes 🍨 and cheesecake got top marks too.

Wonderful Landlords, they wonderfully restored the Pub, keeping some very nice original features.
The food is amazing. We had Homemade Steak pie and the Lamb shank, both with Fresh Veg, mashed Potatoes and delicious sauces.
Anyone in the Boston area or travelling, should put a stop in there.
They are also very Child friendly and Dog friendly. 5 star plus from us!!!!

One of the best carverys I have had for a long time, very friendly staff, do not expect fast service as they are in demand.
I only took the picture of the pudding as we were to busy enjoying the mains

Went for family meal. First time since venue had reopened

Took wife, mother, father and visiting friend from Adelaide.

Was very busy as didn't realise was Car Night but was a great atmosphere and felt like a proper old fashioned pub should do!

Had the Ball House Mixed Grill ... What a plateful! Think the staff were amazed I managed to finish it all!

Would definitely go again!

Not the first time we've been here, but the first time we've taken the dog with us. We were all made to feel welcome...the dog was definitely spoiled! Food was lovely as always. Regular portion was ample for us, although there is the choice of a large if required. Staff are all very friendly, pleasant and helpful.

Brilliant experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and all the staff were incredibly welcoming. Very dog friendly, made our 17 week old puppy feel very comfortable during his first ever visit to a pub. Would highly recommend and will definitely go be going back when in the area again.
