Fantastic place, food is superb, the establishment is very nice and the staff are super friendly. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future. Little hidden gem of Ilkeston.

We have been here twice whilst staying in the area. First time we had the Tapas which we loved and was very tasty. Then we went for Sunday lunch which was also nice but for whatever reason we didn't feel was the best we have had. We chose lamb and my partner thought we had been given beef, I had to agree not very tasty. The vegetables were nice and we paid extra for cauliflower cheese which was really nice. It is a very popular pub so very busy and although bought dessert menu after over 20 minutes of waiting we had to get the attention of staff to take our order. The dessert was actually very nice. Overall we didn't feel like we had value for money but may try again if in the area.

We went Saturday evening .the food was sooo good. Butternut squash soup was to die for. I had a pasta dish for my main and my husband had the fish .honestly could not fault a thing . The staff are always 10/10. Welcoming and attentive.This place takes some beating .thanks for having us .

Excellent meal.We live locally and it was our 1st visit since Covid.Service good,staff friendly.Only 1 criticism -for a fairly expensive/special meal the paper table napkin was thin and of poor quality.We're all for looking after the environment,and don't expect a linen napkin,but the paper one should be thicker and of better quality.This is,to my mind a relatively small improvement which could be implemented.

If you want the best roast dinner that you've ever had in your life, then visit the Durham Ox - It is guaranteed to blow you away and put a smile on your face. I have never tasted food like it - I couldn't fault a single thing. I highly recommend their deep fried ice cream dessert too - So much fun and absolutely delicious. This was my first visit and it will absolutely not be the last! Thank you for making mine and my friends Sunday.
