Nice place to stop and grab a drink, pizza's were great and a good selection of beers.

Best thing is the view though, great to watch the world go by

We had a paddle up the river and then had lunch here.

Pleasantly surprised with the portions, food was really nice too.

We had the sea salt chips each, one with cheese one without, and some halloumi fries.

The cheese was nice, better than I've had in quite a while actually. The halloumi fries were nice and crispy on the outside, and the chili source was very good too.

The food came out really quickly, was very surprised.

Look forward to coming here again for a paddle & lunch.

Great pub with good food and beer alongside the river, lots of outside seating.
Enjoyed the cask ales from Charnwood Brewery which went well with the Halloumi fries and sweet chilli dip.

Stunning! A lovely pub. Great choices of drinks and meals. Lovely atmosphere with wonderfully designed décor. The toilets have custom made taps which is really cool.

Staff are so lovely, supporting and work well as a team.
Outside there is the canal with a nice view and plenty of seats and a fair bit of parking space.

Will 100% go again

Pub looks lovely sadly that's as good as it gets had roast beef well a very small amount of beef a chid would have expected a larger portion, over cooked potatoes and under cooked beans. Wasn't offered any condiments and would definitely have asked for more gravy for the Yorkshire pud if the staff had been around to ask definitely not worth the cost. Won't be eating here again

Christmas decorations are up nice and bright. Not a massive atmosphere as went in on a Monday lunch. New menu not massive but the food is beautiful mushroom stilton and pine nut starter awesome. If you love pizza this is the place for a stone backed wood fired pizza. No rush especially on this lunchtime. Once the summer is back will be looking forward to a seat by the canal with food good company and something alcoholic. Before then we'll be back and hope to get a seat near the real fire. Well worth a visit!

Visited on Tuesday 24th of January 2023. We booked The Moorings for a family Wake, a group of approximately 50 people of different age's and mobility. The food provided was excellent, service exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Two ladies in particular, Kate and Helen went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. Very polite and courteous as we're all the members of staff.
Highly recommend for any event and will be definitely returning for an evening meal.

We had the festive menu with family as would not be spending Christmas day together. We had 3 courses and could not fault anything at all, everything was absolutely perfect! The staff were really attentive and made us feel more than welcome. The food was really nice and the cocktails were delicious! Overall we had a really lovely time! More than we could of asked for :)
Would definitely recommend 👌Great for drinks or just a bite to eat! Really warm and friendly staff but a special thank you to Alex who lookef after us all night, he was a superstar xx
