Eat On The Green

We had three lovely visits to this café where we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the cathedral and even the one morning to hear the bells. We had a really delicious cream tea with a large warm scone, another day we had the yogurt and strawberry milkshake, and we tried the breakfast options another day. The location is excellent and the staff are really friendly and go out of their way to be helpful

Lovely breakfast with a lovely view of the cathedral. The stuffed bacon and Brie croissant is a must try! Great service too.

Food are a bit pricey and the egg Benedict is overcooked. However the view to the cathedral is excellent.

First time visiting despite walking past regularly for years, will definitely be coming back more often.
The breakfast we had was fantastic, I had The Ulster Fry, which included Hogs Pudding, Soda Bread, and Potato Bread. The staff were all extremely efficient and friendly - they catered for my partner who can only eat small portions due to a stomach operation.
If you want somewhere with quality food, great staff, and a lovely place to sit outside then come here!

Every time my partner and I have visited, we have been welcomed by friendly and sincere staff.

The quality of their food is outstanding, and more than fair on price.

I can't praise the staff and management highly enough, for how genuine they are. They work hard to accommodate you, and the standards they set for service goes above and beyond.

The only draw back is for wheelchair users, I can't see a clear way in which they could enter the building if dining inside. I'd call ahead first just to be on the safe side!

Whether you eat inside or out you're bound to have a pleasant experience. Just be sure to book a table, as it's so popular!

Can't praise highly enough! Went for lunch today. Of course it was packed on a very busy day in Exeter. When we got there, we were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait so had made the decision to go elsewhere. Just as we were stood around deciding where we would go, 2 people had finished dining and the incredible staff accommodated for us to go in. They were so friendly and service was so quick. The food was excellent - generous portions and well put together recipes for both food and home made drinks. I'd highly recommend the home made lemonade and Chicky Chicky bang bang burger. Lovely atmosphere, just great all round

Incredible view over Cathedral Green. The staff were very attentive and lovely, offering suggestions on the dishes. We went for brunch - was very tasty and lots of veggie dishes to select from. A great brunch/coffee location!
