Three Lakes

The staff on sight went above and beyond. We broke down in Stevenage and the lovely couple that runs the shop helped us massively by towing us back to the campsite. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
There was so much to do on site it was fab. The food at the restaurant is outstanding and reasonably priced. If I could give more stars I would. We will be back! Thank you again for ana amazing stay

Lovely location and huge hall.
Could do with a bigger bar as its near the front door so all congregate round it blocking the door when 5 deep.
Outside area for kids was a blessing and closed in so none can escape.
Buffet was nice and staff friendly.

Lovely place, been a few times now and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The food is really nice, well presented and staff are friendly and courteous. Prices a little high though, but these days who's aren't.

Have visited multiple times and I still want to go back! Fantastic breakfast and dinner menus with lots of options. Vegan options have always been delish. However, no vegan options for breakfast, but staff are kind and willing to adjust.
Great value for money as well, stuff you won’t get nearby or in a shop.
Fish cakes actually tasted of fish, not potato which is hard to come round.
Lamb was excellently cooked, falling off the bone; mashed potatoes were soft and buttery.
Vegan chickpea bowl was fantastic, loved the flavours and very satisfying.
Food always hot and service is lovely, definitely an improvement from a few negative experiences after covid.

Came here for lunch. The food was fabulous, and the view from the restaurant is lovely. They are also dog friendly.

Unfortunately, the service was terrible. The staff were stood around chatting, we waited a long time for the dessert menu, eventually gave up and asked for the bill.

I worry a bit about the cleanliness as well, as I noticed there was lipstick on the glass we were given.

So lots could have been better but hat off to the chef.

The food here is simply wonderful, really well put together and presented beautifully. We came for (another) Sunday roast and we were all impressed. We had a lovely server too. A really well done to all at Three Lakes. Top roast in Herts!

What a beautiful find. This place was hidden away up a dirt track but once you arrive and walk into the restaurant and look outside you can see why it is so popular. The view overlooking the lake is absolutely stunning and it is perfect for outside dining weather permitting.
We were served by a new staff member on her first day and received prompt service with a smile (you can still see a smile through a mask). Food was really flavorful and of a great quality. There was a time limit on how long you could dine for but staff seemed very flexible with this and there was not a push to hurry up eating. Really enjoyable service, food and location. Great for walks as well. Loved it
