No frills but great value. Checked-in early and all staff that we dealt with were very friendly and obliging. The room was quite basic but probably worth more than 2 stars. Food in the evening was good value for money and the inclusive breakfast was more than adequate.
We have booked again for another one night stay.

Got there to find only 2 rooms had been booked for us even though I had proof of booking 3 rooms. Not helpful at all.and said we would have to pay for rooms if we didn't stay. Best suggestion he had was that one of the couples stayed elsewhere. Looked tatty inside too so maybe a lucky escape.

Had a lovely short stay here. It's a very quaint local pub. With its low beams and olde world feeling. If you're looking for an old English Inn then this is a great example. I stayed in room 3. Which has good facilities for disabled travellers. The staff are so friendly. It's near to the local chippy and kebab van too so if you arrive too late for food at the hotel, don't worry, you can walk down the road pick up a snack and eat it in your room. Also breakfast is included in this very reasonably priced Inn. Lovely.

Walked in - Walked straight out again! Not hygienic. We did have a reservation booked, found the place & they struggled to find our reservation...Once we were walked to our table, we had to walk through a room with a family eating...not only was a child having its nappy changed on the sofa as we walked past, there was food everywhere, the floor, walls, table, highchair & the room smelled like musty/rotting wood. I'd suggest a complete re-vamp before letting paying customers in the doors again.

Good quality homemade food, good service and hospitality and a warm traditional environment. I'll definitely be going back!

Although my nearest pub, I had never been until today when other nearby places were full for lunch.

What a gem - an old country pub with low ceilings, a lit wood burner and friendly service. My two friends and I had an excellent lunch, all fresh and very tasty- not a scrap left. I will be heading back soon.
