Burger Amour

I've eaten from here twice.

On the first occasion the food was good but the packaging used for produce that ought to be crispy caused onion, rings fries and halloumi to be limp.

Recently I ordered from there again. They have significantly upgraded their packaging. The truffle fries and onion ring were crisp and hot.

The burgers were top tier and impressive for a take away meal, the mac an cheese was excellent and a great side dish and meal for a toddler. (Would love to see some topping on the mac though)

Priced on the top end but portion sizes are generous.

The best takeaway experience I've had in quite some time.

Burger Amour failed to deliver my food today and haven't answered the phone all evening. £30 stolen and left hungry to boot. Number on the Just Eat app is out of date and the number on the website auto forwards to a mobile that never gets answered or calls back.
Previously very happy with Burger Amour over multiple orders, but will never touch again. Avoid avoid avoid.

Edit - delivery finally arrived at 22:35, a full 2 hours late and after I had already given up and posted this review. I refused delivery and will pursue a refund via Just Eat. What a waste of time and energy from all parties.

Frustrating experience. Deliveroo said estimated delivery would be 30mins. Over an hour later and Deliveroo said the order was still in the kitchen. Phoned the restaurant and no answer. Was cancelling via the App and then the doorbell goes. Two cold burgers delivered. Shame since if the burgers had been still hot would be quite tasty. But they were cold and soggy instead. Not ordering from here again.

Their mac and cheese is awful and not as described on the menu. Like boxed mac with fake cheese, not nice. Delivery is usually slow. Their burgers are nice but the whole thing is overpriced and not worth it. I've ordered from here a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt but won't be doing it again.

The order was late and when asking for updates they guaranteed the food would be still hot. Was also told it was going to be just 10 more minutes. 20 minutes later I phoned again was told the food would obviously be hot still. I requested a refund 1 hr 40 min after placing order and they refused. Note this was half 3 in the afternoon. The food arrived with cold soft drinks in a wet bag falling apart and surprise to nobody the food was cold. It was then the employee then said they would replace a burger and not the fries that was also cold which I already mentioned. Again refused to refund and to contact just eat. The only part of the order that arrived as expected was the cold soft drinks. Don't waste your time and money.

Ordered food and still waiting two hours later. Two calls to the restaurant to say it’s been out for delivery. The restaurant is 7 minutes drive from our house and still nearly half an hour later before it turns up. Appalling service and not even a sorry for the food being late. I don’t know how a takeaway can take this liking as it’s meant to be a quick service.

Avoid like the plague, clearly this restaurant is run by cowboys! Ordered via Deliveroo and was given an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes. After an hour tried to call the restaurant but kept reaching a mobile phone answering service. 2 hours after placing the order I contacted deliveroo who said it was out for delivery and would be another 10-15 minutes. Waited a further 20 minutes and contacted deliveroo again who also could not get hold of the restaurant, so they told me it would be cancelled and refunded. 2 days later I have been notified by Deliveroo that the restaurant has claimed that the order was delivered and I'm not entitled to a refund as deliveroo are not responsible for the delivery. This is an outright lie, they clearly never intended to fulfil the order and I am now having to escalate this further in an attempt to get a refund. We have a one week old baby and already on our knees, so this is the last thing we needed!!

Dreadful! Cold burger with a dull bun and grisly meat. No flavour. See photo for their ‘rosemary fries’. Gives you an indication of the care and quality here. Never again. £30 and we didn’t eat most of what we ordered it was so bland!
