Slim Chickens

Lovely juicy burgers and tenders. Decent portions and good value.
We had an issue using the terminals and the staff were so helpful and were brilliant with getting our order sorted.
The gravy mayo was an amazing discovery. Try it!

The food is amazing, the chicken really is the best fast food-style strips/burgers I’ve ever had. Only issue was that my wife’s food was after mine, the waitress took our table number away and by the time they realised the mistake, I had finished mine and we ate alone. Need to get better turning and cleaning tables around during peak periods. Wetherspoons standards.

Great food and clean restaurant. Used to get takeaway a lot but much fresher and more enjoyable to eat in! Prices have gone up slightly but worth the quality over other fried chicken.

The bread is to die for. Chicken is juicy and tasty. Recommend blue cheesy to go with meal. Fries could be a little less salty with better potatoes. However everything top marks. Not sure kitchen roll as napkins

We ordered a Mix meal of 3 wings and 3 tenders that comes with 2 choice sauces, chips and drink. The second meal was a mac and cheese buffalo. I was really disappointed with the experience of the meal taste.

The wings size were very small, taste was nothing memorable as mine was supposed to be dipped in honey sauce but I couldn't really taste any honey. The tender strip was nothing much, had a little bit if salt, however taste was nothing really special. Chips were ok-ish but nothing special. I was really sadden by this meal because I paid £11 that didn't really meet my expectations. I would rather spend £11 at KFC and be satisfied with the taste.

The other meal buffalo mac n cheese was OK and cost £12, it comes with a lot of cheese which satisfied me, and some chucks of chicken. I would say that the mac n cheese filled me up that I couldn't finish it. I am so full that I feel like puking. The only problem with this meal is that after few bites, it gets stale, I needed to add some sauces to change the taste.

Along with the 2 meals came toasted bread, the bread tasted ok, its a unique blend with your meal.

I had a choice to choose 2 sauces, I chose the Korean BBQ and Mango habanero sauce. The Korean sauce is obviously fake and not real. The mango habanero is a unique sauce I recommend. It taste of mango with spicy chilli added. If you are not a spicy person, I still would recommend as it doesn't burn your tongue.

Drinks options were available to choose, the options were milkshakes which cost extra, or you could select bottomless fizzy drink that is included with your meal. I must say the drink refilling machine that filled my fanta tasted diluted with water, also they had no ice.

It was not busy the time we went around 3-4pm, we didn't wait in the queue. There were staff cleaning dirty tables but it was not frequently done. On the table you get a kitchen roll to use for self cleaning, however there are no other available sauces on the table such as vinegar, salt, pepper, ketchup etc. With some seating, you have access to use the plug point to charge your phone or use laptop.

Staff were nice, no issues, the place was clean and decor nice. Toilet are mixed and not separated, though they are cosy in terms of size.

I would not recommend this place because of the taste of the chicken.
KFC will always have one of the best wing taste, I did like Thunderbird chicken branch, they had a unique taste to their wings. I was hoping Slim Chickens would offer similar or something unique, however I was left disappointed. Even the size of some of the wings were so SMALL (have a look at the picture), and you want someone to pay £11 for that piece of a size!?

I would only return back to this place if they overhaul their menu or ingredients. The chips needs to add uniqueness to its menu, you can't just sell regular chips whereas you have 5 Guy's, Thunderbird Chickens and GDK offering other flavours to their chips.

Chicken was very flavourful but the tenders weren't as crisp as I was hoping. Really good portion sizes and the chips were really good! Whilst the BBQ sauce in the burger was very tasty, it was lathered in too much which took away from the chicken but overall would recommend as a quick bite to eat whilst shopping.

Slim chickens is my favourite chicken place, recommend the spicy Double bbq burger or the buttermilk marinated tenders. There is plenty of food, the chicken is juicy, crispy and flavourful. The chips are seasoned and fresh. The sauce offerings are incredible and varied - I recommend mango habanero, honey mustard and cayenne ranch. I even scoffed at the idea of ordering a salad but after seeing my partner's I was surprised to see the variety of things that are given as part of the salad main. All in all, you can't go wrong. Definitely recommend a visit.

Got it delivered. Took over an hour and it was cold. The can of Diet Coke I ordered became coke and that came warm. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody. Couldn’t actually finish the meal. What I assume was garlic bread was black and the chip tasted like soggy cardboard. Absolutely shocking!
