It's what it is😄 We wanted something simple and not too far to travel. It delivered, the staff were very good, very friendly and attentive. We had mains and desserts. The menu was okay and typical of a chain. The dining area was clean and all tables cleared. Definitely a step up on a Wethersp**ns 😁 We had a good laugh at the Steak and Ale pie I ordered. however, what it lacked in presentation and variety of veg it made up for in taste. We would go again in similar circumstances, all in all a pleasant and modest experience.

Stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn and had breakfast here in the morning. Very busy when we were here with a large party of bikers arriving at the same time. The staff were well over it though and food was always kept topped up. Excellent selection of hot food.

Another pub serving the Premier Inn , the Brick field is clean, well stocked and we'll run. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food and drink hit the spot.

This wasn't my first time visiting this establishment and every time I had been beforehand it had always been a mixed bag of reactions.

However this time I could not fault the service I had received. Our waitress was polite and friendly and despite on the one occasion where we had to goto the maitre D (who was also very excellent and handled an awkward situation created by another member of the public towards myself) I could not fault the experience they had created for my birthday.

Food was fairly swift to our table however the portion sizes were somewhat smaller than anticipated. I requested the mixed grill with my steak to be medium rare and that was perfectly cooked. My gammon was beautiful, sausages were flavourful and my eggs and chips were that of a reasonable standard. Onto my pudding, I ordered the chocolate tart and that was extremely indulging, apparently it was a popular choice and I could most definitely see why!

What made my visit that bit more special was that the staff had surprised me with a mini bottle of bubbly and a card. Little acts of care and kindness like this are the reasons why I review places. If you want to feel that bit more special on your special day I would recommend coming here.

The decor is sleek but friendly with some added flair of style and a nice bar at the side with plenty of seating all round. It is both family friendly and relaxed date vibes. Mostly because of the staff, I will be coming back again! Thank you so much!

Mixed views on this one. Lovely looking restaurant adjacent to the premier Inn when we arrived we decided to pop in there for lunch while waiting for our room to be ready only to be told their systems were down and they could not accommodate us because we didn't pre book and were told to go elsewhere. They made us feel bad for not booking in advance my husband had a foot injury and was not impressed to be told to go elsewhere when they could have accommodated us. Otherwise not bad service when we did book for dinner lovely food and service. Another point I would mention is that the staff at breakfast were moaning about their jobs when customers were eating their breakfasts very unprofessional. Apart from these couple of points not a bad place to enjoy a lovely meal.

I visited here with family members who live in the area. I live in the USA, where refills of soft drinks are free. Not here though! Buy a Coke and you'll get a small bottle. Pay again for all refills. The food was fine, but the price of the dessert was ridiculous! £5.49 for a sliver of apple crumble that came with a tiny serving of custard. The custard was a mistake, I ordered ice cream. When the ice cream arrived, it was a tiny serving in a tiny ramekin. Think a "melon ball" of ice cream! There were three of us at the table and we were expecting to share this dessert. The server brought 3 spoons and had we shared the dessert, that's probably all we would have gotten, one spoonful each! The size of the dessert made everyone laugh in disbelief. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but it did take a bit of waving at the server to get her attention so we could place our orders, and get some drinks, and get the ice cream!

What a disappointment , after a long drive down to Folkstone for an overnight stay we reserved a table looking forward to some food.

Upon arrival we were shown to our table, it then took over 15 minutes to get served.

Myself and my wife both ordered the “smothered chicken burger”, the only thing smothering this burger was sadness with 1 poxy piece of bacon and what looked / tasted like chicken goujons straight out the freezer.

We was never asked how was our meal by the waitress, which is usually courtesy… If anything she looked cheesed off when I politely asked for some Mayo and scowled and then passed me 2 sachets out the drawer.

We also ordered the loaded nachos which were loaded with disappointment… unless there’s a cheese shortage that I’m unaware of, to charge 5 quid for essentially some crisps with next to no cheese is a joke.

We had another reservation booked for this restaurant but we’ve since cancelled this, when cancelling with the manager at the bar we wasn’t asked why, nor did they particularly care why we we canceling. We’ve also cancelled breakfast.

Sums up the whole meal, do better.

Staff friendly food poor quality. Had tin cans durritos for starter. Soggy needed a microscope to see the cheese. Bland and boring . Main course chicken over cooked and dry
