Mess Cafe

Do not eat here. Awful food and awful service. After seeing some good reviews on Google, I decided to give this place a go. I ordered breakfast for take away and a drink while waiting. I said twice that I wanted the drink while waiting and not with the food and twice the waitress acknowledged it. Then I got the drink with the food. I had no way to carry it all and spilled my drink. Annoying but fine. Then I got home and see the food. The salmon had been chopped?! The food was so bad, neither my friend or I ate more than a couple of bites. So dry and tasted cheap and processed. Never again.

Ordered pancakes, fruits and halloumi on Uber Eats a month ago. It was a disaster. The fruits arrived literally mouldy, the halloumi was so hard and bland, and the pancake didn't taste good. I was surprised because I've ordered the same thing a few months ago and had a good experience then.

Lovely food and service .Very busy lunchtime food still arrived quickly.

Loved our breakfast experience so much we went back for brunch the next day. A clear favourite with locals, very friendly staff and a very comprehensive menu. Five stars

Great portion size and delicious food! Mess cafe is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast/brunch with a great atmosphere. It is very clean, has modern decor and the staff are lovely. There are fair prices. I’ve visited for years and I always have a great time.

Great service & food + reasonably priced. Really big selection Inc halal & vegetarian.

Cons: Not value for money. You won't get more than one of anything in your meal besides toast and Hash browns. So skimpy portion sizes.
Pros: Nice Atmos, decent food, friendly staff.
