We love this pub and have visited several times. We find the staff always so friendly and the food top notch. This pub has a lovely garden with a separate outdoor bar.
I'm only giving it 4 stars though because I think the portions have got smaller and the prices bigger. I know that everything is going up, but for nearly £16 for a roast with a bit of meat, few potatoes and I bit of crackling with a bowl of veg is a little pricey.

What an amazing find. We had a one night stay and thought everything was excellent. The room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable in fact the room looked recently refurbished. The quality of the food was exceptional. The staff offered a first class service. We would definitely stay here again.

We needed somewhere to stop for lunch along our journey from Cornwall to Kent and did a quick Google search to find something along the way. We were really pleased with our discovery. The staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant was clean and the food was tasty. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are driving along that route.

Tonight is the second of a two night stay here with our dog. Fantastic.
Cleanliness, staff, food, facilities, friendliness, acceptance of dogs, warm rooms, hot water and bloody good ale!
Great atmosphere. So happy, we've already booked a return visit in November.

From the outside it looks like "chocolate box" country pub very beautiful and what you would imagine a country pub to look like. As you go inside the theme continues with oak beams and a real cosy feeling. The staff there were amazing really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. What was good is that they knew about the menu and could tell you about each dish and advise you about it. The menu isn't large but is varied which I believe is a good thing as you can concentrate on delivering good quality food and it certainly was.
The service was attentive without being intrusive and you felt genuinely welcomed. It was our first visit and won't be our last. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants great food and service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

Fantastic Sunday roast in an out of the way, quaint pub. We had a family gathering here for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed. As we were eating a little later than most, 2pm, we even had a call early in the day asking if we wanted to pre-order so we weren't disappointed if any meats were sold out. Thankfully nothing was off the menu when we arrived. Great service and great food. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely delicious meal last night. Great service. The chefs really know what they are doing. It was also extremely well priced. We've often had a great Sunday Lunch here before but will look into weekday evening meals here again soon.
