Mya Masala

I think the other reviewer did have a blip. I've ordered a few times and it has always been excellent. We ordered the other day and it wasn't quite ready when we went to collect, so they gave us extra onion bajis and poppadoms. They were very keen to make sure we were happy which is lovely. The food is always really nice and I love their open kitchen.

Very late delivery, we waited over 2 hours, 2 hairs in our food and the food itself was grim. A very disappointing experience given the wonderful reviews I had read. I hope for their sake it was a blip but I wouldn't order from them again.

Went there today- ordered and one of the guys came out with popadoms and dips for us while we waited. Not to long after that our meal was ready and we left. The food was excellent couldn't fault it. Will definitely be using them again.

Being from London, we have tried many Indian restaurants but none quite compared to this one. Will
definitely be ordering from here in the future.
The owner was extremely professional and polite and the food was exceedingly tasty!

This used to be my favourite Indian takeaway. But today was disappointing. The whole place seemed disorganised and the food was, frankly flat and uninteresting. It used to be interesting with real depth to the flavour. Today, it was OK. It was ordinary and while more expensive than some competitors, it was less enjoyable.

Time for me to find a new favourite.

After two recommendations, this evening we decided to try Maya Masalla instead of our usual choice of local Indian.

The online system seems to not be overly straight forward regarding special requirements, or choice of naan bread when selecting naan for a set meal. 3/5

Order on phone which was fairly difficult to ensure I got the correct order. The 20% online offer was not taken into account or offered with phone order so full price paid. Advised order would be 45 mins. 3/5

Order came within 20 mins which for us was great but if I had popped to shop for a bottle of wine I could have missed delivery 2/5

Order was incorrect and I called to see what may be done. This time a different staff member answered and apologised politely and offered to re deliver missing items (1 of only 6 ordered was missing) happy days.
Despite us waiting and only living 0.4 mile away the original staff member called back on my mobile 10 mins later and insisted he took order correctly and it was me that told him wrong as I quote "he remembered the entire order and conversation to memory" and could re deliver but I would have to pay for the missing item as he had charged me for the wrong item? 1/5

Food was Nice and the same as you can expect to find in any of many nationwide Indian restaurants but nothing special or authentic tasting 3/5.

Overall I think 3/5 is a generous review but won't be ordering here again. Its OK food with a touch of bad attitude and disorganisation.

Main curry dish has excess amounts of oil and not enough chicken - going by the standard of other Indian take aways.

Cheese garlic naan had no cheese.

Left review on Uber Eats and Mya Massala replied with "how much chicken do I expect?" And, "there was cheese in the naan as I made it myself".

I regard my issues as semi minor but did not expect this answer to my review!

Needless to say I won't be using them again.

The food is ok but the service is awful. I waited nearly 2 hours for food to be delivered and each time I call "it's on its way". This is a Thursday night! It should not be this difficult. Happy to order again if I have a spare 2 hours to wait.
