Having read the reviews about this pub, was a bit anxious about going there but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt.
We were seated within 5minutes, food came in good time as well.
Had starters and mains. The food was freshly made and very good, portions are very generous so if you aren't too hungry skip starters and go straight to mains
Staff were lovely and friendly. Will visit again.

Management could do with having more staff as the ones there were run off their feet.

This pub used to be lovely. This last few years it's had that many new owners it's seriously go be down hill. Been in tonight the tea out the machine is barely warm not hot, they forgot my son's salad to go with his meal and the steak I had was ok but all greasy I asked for black pepper sauce which ran like water. Staff behind the bar are inexperienced and unsure of what they are doing. For nearly 60 pounds not worth it.

Called in here looking for lunch after visiting Hardwick hall. Lovely food reasonably priced. A couple of unusual choices for my wife who's a vegetarian. I had the braised beef which was really nice. There's lots of room between tables and the staff were all really friendly. Would highly recommend.

We had my partner's son's 18th birthday here on a bank holiday Monday, the were 19 of us in total and the staff were very attentive to everyone there and coped extremely well, the food was exceptional and several of the guests said how impressed they were with the quality of the food and the service the staff gave. I'd definitely recommend it here and will definitely return. Thanks very much to all the staff concerned you made his birthday one to remember.

Rude managers and staff, absolute poor service. Apparently families are welcome but they didn’t welcome mine, they turned us away when tables were bare😭

Looks like the pub has had a make over since my last visit. Sadly the menu isn't as good as it was but still does your basic pub grub. Our burger was cooked to within an inch of its life but the lasagne was OK. Can't really expect more for the price; we had 2 main meals and a pint each and it cost £25. Plenty of parking and kid friendly. Can accommodate large groups.

Almost dont want to tell anyone about this awsome pub. Me my partner and 2 children, one of which is 2 years old!!!! Had an amazing large dinner here, the service was lovely although and the girls were sweet and attentive. We did wait a little while for the food but it was so lovely and fresh and the gravy was amazing 😍.
It was so lovely and quiet when we arrived at 2 ish and my little one did do a lot of running about but I felt so at ease and not like I have do make him sit down. Love this place and will miss this lovely little find when we are not in the area. X
