My wife and I just dropped in to look at the wonderful cafe. Took photos. Came back for a drink. But ended up also having Eaton Mess and Lemon tart together. Both lovely. So we followed this by a cream tea. We were born in Cornwall and the scones and cream here are as good as it gets. Finally we bought some very cute salt and pepper shakers. The service was exceptional and we were treated as if we were celebrities.

The food was really good. We paid the £13 each for the carriage & it was a lovely experience. We also got a selfie on the hot chocolate which was a great novelty. The service was great too. My only negative feedback would be that it could do with a bit more clean. It felt a little grubby/ run down in places. I guess the nature of it being light and bright in there means dirt and bad finishes show up a little more. Overall, it was good & I would still go back

I've had afternoon tea around the world, but the tea terrace is now my new favorite experience. We took my in laws to their very first afternoon tea, and were pampered the entire time. I hadn't reserved a Cinderella carriage, but one was free, and we were thrilled that we could enjoy it. The entire afternoon tea experience was divine. Everything was served on the most beautiful custom plates, and I even got an elephant teapot for my tea. We were told if we didn't like the tea we chose they would happily swap it and let us try something else, but we all loved ours. Their tea menu was the most extensive that I've seen in a long time with fun flavors. I had chocolate and vanilla tea, and my husband had strawberries and cream. When we asked if they could swap out the coffee éclair for something else, they brought us some amazinc cakes to try. Their Victoria sponge and caramel cakes are delicious! Everyone felt very pampered and part of the tea terrace family. We'll definitely be back again in the future!

We visited the tea terrace after finding it online. We had a wonderful time while visiting the tea terrace. The food was great and the setting was perfect for my mum and daughter’s birthday. We were able to take lovey pictures around the restaurant. I can not praise the lady member of staff more! She made our booking and experience fantastic. What really stood out was The service over everything and was by far outstanding, I will most definitely return and be recommending this restaurant to others. Thank you for a great service and experience it meant so much to us.

What a lovely tea room. Food ranges from breakfast to lunches to choice of afternoon teas. The decor is beautiful, mixture of comfortable chairs, throne like chairs and beautifully decorated carriages.

Interring place . I went over Christmas and it was relatively quiet. It is a cross between Willy wonka and Frozen. There was pink everywhere and horse carriages. A vision dreamt up in someone’s head . The staff were ok but and pleasant enough. The menu was massive and it advertised itself as a Tea room but it had a pub menu on top of the tea , scones and desserts. Make your mind up please. The actual tea and scones we ordered was really nice . Hot scones with jam and cream. The lemon tart was amazing
The the teas were interesting. The pear and ginger came ina camel tea pot ! Yes a camel tea pot ! It was hugged and was meant for one but there was enough for 4 people. My Chinese tea tasted of plain water and was a lot smaller in portion. The robot needs to be seen to be believed. Apart from the lack of gender neutrality it was a nice experience and I would go back.

My mum & I visited The Tea Terrace to celebrate my Mum’s birthday & it really was the most fabulous experience. We were welcomed by a lovely host who took us to our table & looked after us throughout. The service was absolutely first class. The restaurant was beautiful, so pretty with delicate china and attractive table decorations. The menu was amazing with a huge choice. We opted for a celebration afternoon tea for two and had a selection of delicious sandwiches in a choice of different breads, along with tasty scones (again in a variety of flavours). With the top layer a beautiful array of indulgent, beautifully presented mini cakes. It really was a wonderful experience & we are very much looking forward to visiting again soon. We will definitely be recommending The Tea Terrace to family & friends.

Visited The Tea Terrace for the first time for our wedding anniversary. Opted for the club sandwich which was very nice. A wide variety of choices for food, drinks, desserts and cakes. Beautiful surroundings and decor, very friendly staff and competitive prices. Would highly recommend!
