We called in for a late breakfast a few days ago. Fantastic. With racing history from horses to cars on the wall a great experience ☺️. You get what you pay for! This gastropub is quality, well worth a visit for that special occasion! Enjoy ...

Rating for the Sunday roast based on value. The beef was good quality and the meal was generally tasty but I was still hungry. Very small Yorkshire and ONLY two roast potatoes which were not perfectly cooked. The one thing I expect from a roast is not to be hungry at the end, especially for £18.50! Will not return.

Lovely place with excellent food and dog friendly. Portions were just right and great service. They have their own beer which was great. We took the fish and the game of the day. Absolutely recommend it.

Came across the Star & Garter whilst on a walk to Chichester and very pleased that I did, as was needing to fuel up. Lovely location, warm welcome, great service and I can heartedly recommend it for its full English breakfast which really hit the spot, especially the sausages and the Oxford Sauce. Shame I was too early to sample the ales.

Food was fantastic staff had great knowledge of menu and wonderful service once again. This is the second time my wife and I dined there .This time we took friends with for dinner who also enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the great food. All four of us will be going again soon. P.s. great value for money. Thank you again for a great evening.

Loved this place. Very quiet and peaceful. Great food and excellent service. Breakfast to die for!! Room was cosy. Only three rooms in the pub so not a mad house! Idyllic location. Parking a bit random but not a problem. Highly recommended by me.

We came here on Sunday at 4pm for the music. Loved it! Great duo playing great classics, dog friendly, brilliant atmosphere and terrific staff. Thank you we’ll be back.

We had a great impromptu family lunch mid Christmas break. Helpful and friendly staff even during what was clearly a very busy lunch. Lovely menu, good kids and great adult choices. We had a tuna main and a hunters grill, both excellent with kids having a burger and a chicken goujons. Nothing left on any plate says it all.
