Kirkby House

We found this wonderful place by chance and booked for the evening, everything from the lovely lady who owns it to all the staff we met was absolutely wonderful!!
The bedroom was beautiful!! New, clean, had everything you could ask for and the food was absolutely amazing!!!
Will definitely recommend to everyone and definitely be back!

We had the absolute pleasure of attending the hotel & restaurant re-launch evening with the amazing lady who now owns Kirkby House.
The food was delicious & all the staff were wonderful & attentive.
We also had a tour of the new renovated bedrooms & they were spectacular!
I will definitely be returning again soon & would recommend to everyone.

As long as you book day b4 for food they can cater for you, the food was amazing.
Staff bend over backwards to help.

Very disappointed with lady that owns kirby house. Its not about how much we spent there but yes we donned there as a 4 person.. The last time we went we were very disappointed and a few days after spoke to the owner at the time she was very apologetic about our experience and said that she would be having a staff meeting a few days later and would get back to me.. That was a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting. I have rung a few times since but to no avail. Will never go back to kirby house. All I wanted was a call back but still waiting.

Delicious dinner, very good service and lovely accommodation. The rooms are newly refurbished and very spacious. Highly recommend it for a stay or for a delicious meal!

Lovely room with spa bath and comfy king-size bed. Charged my deposit on Action Coach machine causing stress when thought someone had used my card. Food price way to steep didn't like the owner ordering Kirsty around while we were eating shes allowed a Xmas too! £90 a Xmas Dinner was a hell of a lot for what it was and i'd informed well in advance of having a gastric sleeve and had smaller portions and no starter was charged full price. £15 for a burger on Xmas eve was crazy cost too. The noise from the kitchen with banging music on Xmas day 9am was very inconsiderate and the boiler wasn't working on arrival so we were freezing for the 1st 3 hrs. One bathroom tap was broken. Kirsty tried her best but was rushed off her feet and not appreciated. We weren't told breakfast wasn't an option and was told they would sort something but that didn't happen so nothing on Xmas day. Ruined our Xmas all in all. Won't stay again.

Writing in my mom’s name, Magnolia, I can say kirkby is one of the worst experiences We’ve had in hotels so far. We’ve been victims of THEFT. My mom left the hotel and accidentally left 400 £ AND HER PASSPORT below the coffee maker. When we called the person who attend us mediatly said there was nothing without even looking for it. The hotel owner was the most rude person ever, Steven Richard had no compassion for my mom not even when she begged him to have her passport and money, instead, he THREATENED us saying if we continued writing to him he would call the police. At first we contacted him via WhatsApp and he blocked us, and then we writed him trough fb message.
