The food was excellent and there is a good drinks selection. However, I booked a table for lunch and there was only the cold lunch menu available, which wasn't advertised at the time of booking. The service was slow and it was not busy at the time. The staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome. I am assuming the slow service and lack of full lunch menu is due to a Private event that was expected later in the day. I would go again as I'd like to be able to try from the whole menu.

In my view the best view, venue upgrades and service in Sussex. Amazing food as well, especially the new salad bowls...

Great venue for an event. Definately ask to eat outside for the views if a nice day.

Amazing views of Sussex country side, lovely food and service. The best roast in Sussex. We had a lunch for 30 today and food was delicious with brilliant service. Particularly Micheal. Thanks all

I'd been here a couple of times for a drink with my partner and loved the views and beautiful surroundings. Thus when I was tasked to arrange a leaving do for my colleague it made sense to book here. I booked a table via the website for 7pm for 8 of us. We turned up to a flustered lady who seemed to know nothing of our booking (despite getting a confirmation & reminder email just before). She told us they were not doing food tonight. We asked why someone hadn't let us know and we were rudely responded to. There was live music, and the place was empty... it was all a bit odd. Anyway, we decided to head to the Red Lion up the road and had a lovely meal (albeit late). This was very embarrassing! I emailed the restaurant a short time after to let them know of my experience to try and gain some understanding before posting a negative review. Unfortunately to this day, some 7 weeks later, i have not heard anything back. I annoyingly get emailed spam daily from them though to go there. Really disappointing as it is just the perfect set up but they've still got a lot of work to do it would seem. Not one to post negative reviews but this was v frustrating.

Disappointing and overpriced.

Having spent £28 on my full English breakfast for my first visit to 180degrees, I was apprehensive to return as I thought that was rather steep for a full English with 2 extras and 2 drinks, which wasn’t anything special I have to say, however my wife and I decided to go together this time and see if it would leave a better taste the 2nd time round. Sadly it did not. My wife decided against the vegan breakfast because it was a whopping £14, so she chose a cheaper option, as did I, so I chose a Bacon roll which came in a brioche bun which was rather hard and hard to digest, almost as hard to digest as the bill itself.

We used to very much enjoy a breakfast here almost every weekend before the refit, but sadly now we will probably avoid it as it feels like they only want affluent customers who won’t batter and eye at the eye watering prices.

£10.50 for a Egg, Bacon & Sausage Roll.
£12.50 for French Toast
£12.50 for Eggs Benedict
14.50 for smoked salmon and poached eggs
£14 for full English, £18 if you want that to include hash browns and black pudding!
£14 or £16 for a vegan breakfast.

There’s no chance of being greedy at this place, not unless you’re the one taking the money that is.

I expect a response to this review to the tune of ‘cost of living’, ‘we use local products’ etc etc but the truth remains this is very overpriced, slightly above average food.

There are plenty of more reasonably priced options locally which offer better breakfasts imo.

A real shame.

Disappointing experience. Wolfox coffee is fantastic but the oat milk coffee was pathetic. Unfortunately, £4 for a small piece of vegan flapjack with large nuts was woeful. The team need further training and the size of portions need reviewing.

My husband and I have visited 180 on several occasions and consistently experienced great food and service. Whether it’s been for dinner, lunch or just coffee and cake, the quality of the food has been excellent and the service helpful and friendly. The interior design of the bar and restaurant is very contemporary, and also warm and welcoming with the log fire burning in the background. The ‘piece de resistance’ is the floor to ceiling view stretching across the outside terrace and over the surrounding countryside as far as the eye can see - simply stunning. The price point is very fair particularly given the huge increase in food and fuel costs being experienced by the hospitality industry. We go to 180 because the restaurant is beautiful and spotless, and we know quality will not be compromised. As the old adage goes - you get what you pay for! Highly recommended.

Group of 6 booked in advance. Arrived on time, ordered 30 minutes into the visit as we weren’t seen by anyone. Order took 30 minutes longer just for drinks to arrive. Many complications with the order as well. Drinks came out then went back, then came back out again… food finally came and was perfect. Service wasn’t good. Forgetful and on top of it was made to pay 12.5% service charge which when the staff know there’s been a few issues probably should be taken off. We didn’t cause a fuss but overall it’s a beautiful venue, not enough staff. The team that were there were lovely and the food was great… the other tables seemed to be having a good time so perhaps we were just unlucky.
