Amazing food and drinks, the highest quality ingredients treated with respect and creativity. Great attentive friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. This is a restaurant of the highest standards and you deserve to visit it.

Nearly 40 minutes after being seated we received drinks, an hour for the starter (which I had to send back), a messed up receipt (again!), and service added (we had no intention of leaving a tip after the experience but were too English to ask for it to be removed).

For context, we’ve eaten here at least 15-20 times over the years but sadly this may have been the last.

The turbot and the chocolate and cherry mousse was genuinely world class

The lunch today was genuinely excellent and the service attentive and in all the right places! The team from walking through the front door to picking up our coats were super lovely and the venison dish I had alongside a masterful creme brûlée were fabulous. Thanks!

We have visited on several occasions and the service and food have always been top notch. Yes it's expensive. It's a treat. They don't hide their prices it's all available online sample menus. I've never been disappointed.

The service was great and setting is beautiful. However the belly pork was terrible, paid £32 for a plate of pork fat and 1 burnt shallot which i didnt eat, really dissapointed considering it was my wifes 40th birthday meal.

Great location, beautiful grounds, great service and wonderful food. Lovely place to wrap up our engagement weekend in the New Forest :)
