Really vibrant, bustling wine bar in the town centre. Very friendly staff and a good selection of bar food on the menu. Big screen for showing sporting events so perfect for a big group to watch a rugby match (or the Winter Olympics as was on when we went!)

Also a few ales on tap — when I went they had Young’s which was a welcome surprise. Highly recommend if you’re staying at one of the local hotels for the weekend!

It was a last minute booking, just before kitchen closed, nevertheless We had the most amazing duck legs, cooked fresh and to perfection.
Very accommodating for our dog too.

Lovely vegetarian breakfast and really nice interior

Lovely spacious dog friendly place with super welcoming staff. We came for a drink and came back later to eat and the pop up pizza night put on by Chef Trevor was superb showing true Italian passion. Delicious sauces for dipping crusts into and extra treat for the dogs made it all more worthwhile. If you're after a laid back vibe with great service and a smile this is the place to come. Sorry, no pictures, we wolfed the pizza!

I had food here a few weeks ago and it was disgusting. The burger was cooked unevenly, and I got food poising from eating there - vomiting and I had severe stomach cramps, struggled to eat for three days. Questioning the hygiene and cooking standards of this place despite the high ratings. I also thought the food was over-priced for what it was. Would not recommend.

I stopped by Commoners in Brockenhurst just before a walk around the New Forest. After finding a table and flicking through the menu, I settled on a Sausage Ciabatta whilst the rest of the party had Pizzas. Service was quick and friendly, and after a small wait, our food arrived. I don’t want to sound dramatic – but I can safely say that the Sausage Ciabatta was sensational. The sausages were really tasty, and the Ciabatta was nicely soft yet crisp. I also managed to steal a slice of Pizza too, which was nice and crispy - they weren’t shy with the cheese either!

We walked past it again in the evening and they had live music, and was much busier, so it’s obviously a popular spot with locals too. If you’re looking for a great value bite to eat and a drink – Commoners is a great shout.

Really tasty food and a well designed venue. Outside space too which is great in the summer. Really friendly team run the place. Dog friendly which is a big plus
